Congratulations to Andy Simpson - Official of the Year

Various Indiana Officials Associations have recognized Andy Simpson as "Official of the Year."

Andy is from Highland, Indiana and graduated from Highland High School, Class of 1977

I played Little League baseball against Andy in Highland back in those great days in The Region in the late 60s and early 70s.

Andy has been featured prominently in various IHSAA promotional TV spots over the past few years, mostly on the hardwood.  Congrats to him and his crew for getting the opportunity to officiate the 6A championship game last night.

Andy is wearing the white hat here. This is the crew at the 2017 North-South All Star Game. Andy was also the crew chief I worked with for my last season on the field. Great guy. Great official.
