  1. Gibson Southern's 6'7 235lb WR Wes Obermeier has committed to Ball State where he'll play TE.
  2. Congrats to the Miners on their first football State Championship!! Great game and they will do just fine in 2A next season.
  3. Best of luck to the Braves tonight!! Having played them twice in Regional Championship games we have a lot of respect for them as their coaches, players and fans are all class acts.
  4. Wasn't #53 Hayhurst the starting RT before getting hurt vs Harrison? I know your stud DE Durcholz #56 played RT against Castle and GS. Regardless if it's 8 or 9 returning starters on offense, Memorial will return a very talented team that should be the favorite to win the SIAC and Sectional 32.
  5. I'll add that Mt. Vernon's receivers dropped some very catchable passes and I'm sure they will get that improved and their QB (Maier) never ran much and that's a big element of their offense so I wouldn't be quick to dismiss them as they have some nice looking RB's too. Obviously some of Coach Maier's comments are meant to motivate his kids as they will definitely win some games this year.
  6. I did get an update. Lewis is doing much better but has a lot of rehab ahead of him and 2 others are still in the hospital but doing better. I know one of the kids in the hospital has a tough fight ahead as they have had both kidneys fail, a compound fracture of both legs, a broken pelvis and internal injuries. All 3 lucky to be alive. Please keep these kids in your prayers as they have a long way to go.
  7. I see on the Girls side that Southridge has won the most All-Sports titles with one stretch of 9 consecutive!! On the Boys side, Heritage Hills still tops all schools in number of overall All-Sports titles and won 4 consecutive titles on 3 separate occasions. Impressive!! Lots of very good teams (Football, Softball, Baseball, etc.) across the PAC schools. Wasn't long ago I remember Gibson Southern and South Spencer playing for State Championships in Softball on the same weekend.
  8. Great Hire!! Congrats to Coach Hart and looking forward to seeing him have success in Indiana once again.
  9. Add me as one who believes Kenton Crews should have been First Team All-State. Kid is an amazing athlete and made plays from so many different positions on the field.
  10. GS Freshman lose their final game 21-6 to Jasper. It was 14-6 after 3 quarters and after causing a fumble in the red zone, the Titans drive nearly 90 yards and get to the 1/2 yard line but the Jasper defense stepped up and stopped the Titans from scoring then drove the length of the field to score and secure the win. Very impressed with this Jasper team.
  11. Best of luck to Southridge and Heritage Hills. Rooting for an all PAC Sectional 31 championship!!
  12. Game time is stated wrong. It's 8:00pm EST.
  13. GS Freshman over Heritage Hills 28-8.
  14. Bob, can I nominate the "Horse Collar" as the next Rule of the Week topic? I've seen some inconsistent calls made this year and have heard differing reasons from refs as to what constitutes a HC. Would appreciate your thoughts on this.
