  1. It is true. We met with our team yesterday, Monday, December 7, and informed them that we coaches, Tim Hunter, Terry Nobbe, Steve Ollier, Mike Ploeger and I, are retiring. We had decided it was our last before the season started. We've loved our 20 years guiding Batesville football. We're going out on the best of terms. I've loved the relationships with players, my fellow coaches, other staff and opposing coaches. My life is richer for the experience. Batesville football has been a blessing. Eric Heppner
  2. Please notice that "thedoc" is from East Central, not Batesville. While we always appreciate the support of our fellow EIAC schools, we at Batesville have been keeping our mouths shut because we realize we are significant underdogs to the number one ranked team in 3A, according to Sagarin. We have worked hard to prepare and hope to play in a way that makes our team and community proud. Eric Heppner Batesville High School
