  1. Westfield not unhappy..... We love and accept the challenge. It will be an adjustment, but Iron sharpens Iron!
  2. This has made coaching and in game adjustments sooooooo much easier. No longer do you get misinformation or are you guessing at times what is going on. We use it a ton. Sometimes we use it with the whole group, and at times we use it with only one player. We love it.
  3. When the Lafayette schools left, there was an attempt by the MIC to combine the two conferences and the HCC schools declined.
  4. Yes..... We lost Lafayette Harrison, McCutcheon and Harrison a couple of years ago. We used to have 10. I hope we never go back to 10 though.
  5. Welcome to the HCC Flashes! A PRESS RELEASE FROM THE HIGH SCHOOLS OF AVON, BROWNSBURG, FISHERS, FRANKLIN CENTRAL, HAMILTON SOUTHEASTERN, NOBLESVILLE, WESTFIELD & ZIONSVILLE **********************FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE*********************** The high schools of Avon, Brownsburg, Fishers, Hamilton SE, Noblesville, Westfield and Zionsville have agreed to add Franklin Central High School to the prestigious Hoosier Crossroads Conference. Westfield principal and current HCC president, Dr. Stacy McGuire, made the following statement. “The HCC is excited to add Franklin Central High School. The administrators, coaches, athletes and community of this school will be great partners and will grow our conference to 8 members. Our conference looks forward to competing with Franklin Central High School” Franklin Central was approved Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Board of Control meeting. From that meeting the decision was made to add Franklin Central as a member beginning with the 2018 school year. The high schools of Avon, Brownsburg, Fishers, Franklin Central, Hamilton Southeastern, Noblesville, Westfield and Zionsville are very excited with this addition to our conference group and feel it will provide a bright future and high level of competition for our student-athletes, coaches, and fans.
  6. Tom Allen of Indiana was awesome and received a standing ovation. Congrats Tom.. Big things might be brewing in Bloomington over the next couple of seasons!
  7. Welcome to the HCC Franklin Central! Competition starts in the 18-19 season.
  8. IMHO playing multiple sports regardless of what they are creates better football players. Studies show, especially among youth kids that the more sports they play, aides in their overall athletic development and tends to lesson mental burnout. I love for my guys to play multiple sports. I don't think it is a fair statement to say that playing another sport will necessarily make you better at football. I do think that there are things that can carry over however. I think each kid would benefit from playing a sport in which they have to compete as an individual, because it teaches them valuable lessons that they don't necessarily get in a team sport. The athletes have to not only learn to compete against there opponent, but they have to learn to master their own minds.
  9. Westfield Kicker/Punter Will Harrison has been offered a full ride to Rice University in Houston to be their kicker after a Nation Wide Search. Congrats Will! Bad News for Western Michigan Soccer.
  10. I think this job is a diamond in the rough.
