  1. IMHO playing multiple sports regardless of what they are creates better football players. Studies show, especially among youth kids that the more sports they play, aides in their overall athletic development and tends to lesson mental burnout. I love for my guys to play multiple sports. I don't think it is a fair statement to say that playing another sport will necessarily make you better at football. I do think that there are things that can carry over however. I think each kid would benefit from playing a sport in which they have to compete as an individual, because it teaches them valuable lessons that they don't necessarily get in a team sport. The athletes have to not only learn to compete against there opponent, but they have to learn to master their own minds.
