  1. Michigan City is looking for a WR coach. Teaching positions include Chemistry/Biology, Math and Special Education. http://employment.mcas.k12.in.us/default.asp Interested coaches should email Phil Mason at pmason@mcas.k12.in.us
  2. Defensive End http://247sports.com/Player/George-Karlaftis-45572561 http://www.scout.com/player/210908-george-karlaftis https://www.hudl.com/profile/5350728/george-karlaftis Scroll down to when he was a freshman and I had the joy of trying to find a way to block him with my JV line.
  3. WL Karlaftis added to his big time offers by probably the biggest out there, Alabama
  4. BAMA has come a calling for Mr. Karlaftis. Got an offer from them today. Just going into his JR year. MERCY
  5. I want to thank Coach Jenson at Manchester University and his staff along with all the folks at Manchester University for the hospitality and making it a great week for Team Camp. We have had always held our team camp at Saint Joseph's College but with them shuttering the doors a new home was needed and Manchester stepped up and provided a great place to work with our teams. 11 teams participated. Rensselaer Central West Lafayette Lafayette Jefferson Zionsville S.B. St. Joe Hammond Morton Huntington North North Central Farmersburg West Central Culver Wabash
  6. We had a nice day as well at Northern Illinois University to cap off a very busy week for the Bombers. Monday checked in at Team Camp with 2 practices Tuesday: 11 thud with North Central Farmersburg, then Zionsville, and finished the night with a 3 way of NC Farmerburg and Hammond Morton Wed; 11 thud with Wabash, then Culver and was supposed to finish up with a 3 way Lafayette Jeff and Huntington North but storms said otherwise. Today: Played Zion Benton, Rich Central, Wheaton Warrenville South and Deerfield. We were down 5 points with the ball in our last game vs Deerfield before skies opened up and we did not get the last possession. Interesting set up at 7 on 7 at NIU. All about Reps, they kept score but didn't mean anything in grand scheme of things, more about reps. We did beat Zion Benton and had great confidence we would of scored the 6 points needed in 9 total plays in last game vs Deerfield to win that one. Lost to Rich Central by 11 and Wheaton Warrenville South got us as well. Next week: 1 day 11 thud at Michigan City to see the Wolves, New Prairie and Andrean. Then Saturday IFOA clinic with 11 thud with Connersville. after that 1 day 11 thud at East Chicago: Scheduled to go against LaPorte, Andrean, Whiting, and Griffith. We finish our summer in July at the NFL 7 on 7 Combine, 2 day event that we were invited down to by Mr. Faulkens and IHSAA, one of 16 teams in the state. Sounds like NFL led combine testing and 7 on 7 games in a 2 day event at Pike H.S. IFOA and NFL gigs are waived competition days. Busy summer but love all the opportunities our guys have been afforded this summer.
  7. Bombers at NIU ran into some big ole Lineman ........ https://goo.gl/photos/fyvaYrZv15snpnKXA
  8. Northwestern hired Steve Dibler from Farmington Illinois, that should make all 10 teams in Hoosier Conf with coaches now.
  9. Out of pure principal of the last dance of Jays and Bombers for the foreseeable future, even if its for JUST week 3!!!
  10. I was told yesterday North Miami has been by Joe Grant
  11. Karlaftas is only 6 ft away from state shot put record. I won't bet against him getting to 67 ft Saw in JC article he has summer trip plans to Alabama, Penn St, Miami U here next few weeks. Impressive for both young men.
  12. Karlaftis picked up Michigan offer a few days ago. I heard they are pretty decent
  13. Contact @DK_Barons He has been made aware of many of the issues, he has a plan I believe, but its gonna be hit and miss and I truly do not understand the reasons, just know he is aware.
  14. believe it or not, it is cooler to use the black field from what he told me as the field absorbs and traps the sun's heat instead of bouncing it off the turf .
  15. The thought of Rick O'dette having to leave our community continues to sadden me to no end.
