  1. They bring back 7 on each side of the ball at first look. They have 4 star recruit OLB Cameron McGrone coming back, as well as 3 star Branson Deen. Their starting QB and RB are both back. They lose Daveon Bell, the leading receiver, but the 2nd and 3rd leading receivers are back. Seems on paper they look to have the makings of a good year. The MIC could be even more top heavy this year. Everyone always talks about the BIG 4 in Carmel, BD, WC and CG, we might be adding a couple more teams to that top tier with LC and I would watch out for LN as well. Coach Mallory has that offensive unit running smoothly and I believe they will shock some teams this year. Though it will be year 1 for him, I will be interested to see how NC fairs with Coach O'Shea at the helm. All just my honest opinion though.
  2. My early preseason top 10 looks like this 1. Cathedral 2. Columbus East 3. Roncalli 4. Bloomington South 5. New Palestine 6. LaPorte 7. Decatur Central 8. Zionsville 9. McCutcheon 10. Kokomo
  3. Obviously, its a little early, but what the heck for conversation sake, Ill throw out a preseason top 10 IMHO 1. Ben Davis 2. Carmel 3. Warren Central 4. Lawrence Central 5. Center Grove 6. Penn 7. Avon 8. Westfield 9. Fort Wayne Snider 10. Hamilton Southeastern
  4. I would say that every team that participated got better, and that is what mattered. Who scored how many on whatever opponent was not the purpose. We(Monrovia) played well both defensively and offensively and got to see some kids play positions they wouldn't normally play. Getting that on film was what we wanted to see against kids that are not our own. We went against Delta, Winamac, Woodlan, Huntington North, Pioneer, Elwood and Northwestern. Teams we didn't face, Tri-Central, Lebanon, Taylor
  5. Thank you goes to Coach Gilbert and staff and the staff at Tri-Central High School for putting on a very successful 11 on 11 complete with IHSAA officials. Some light rain, but the evening went off without a hitch. We enjoyed our time up there again this year. Coach Outland Monrovia High School
  6. You are right about that.
  7. With everything BD has coming back, I definitely think they have the upper hand this season. The MIC is brutal and you never know how the season will play out.
  8. You read it right there, 7 on 7 has its purposes, but you don't do the two things in football that are most important. BLOCK or TACKLE!
  9. Hello everyone, It is about that time of the year again. Taking a list of who wants to take part in this year's GID Football Poll. Just list what classes you would like to vote in. If you are just going to vote to get your team a vote, then please do not bother. We are looking for mostly Un-biased voters to create the best poll out there. I will start things off, as usual I will vote in all 6 polls. Here is to another great year for the GID Poll
  10. So lets look at how well we did as a group with the Preseason Poll last year and who ended up winning State Titles. 6A #3 Carmel beat #1 Center Grove 5A #7 Westfield beat #4 Columbus East 4A #2 Roncalli beat #7 Nortwood 3A #14 FW Concordia beat Unranked Lawrencburg 2A #4 Cardinal Ritter beat #10 Eastbrook 1A #2 Linton-Stockton beat #3 Pioneer I don't think that is too bad of a result to be quite honest. Only one Preseason Un-ranked team made it to State. And only in 3A was a team not in the Preseason Top 10. Can we do better this year?
  11. looking forward to coming back up to Tri-Central next Monday, looks like we will get some looks against alot of different teams.
  12. Congrats on this accomplishment by the Ritter Raiders.
  13. Only thing I know about MD is that if they have a line, the RB Rheinlander is quick and will gouge yards if not touched at LoS. Losing Wilderman will hurt as he was a 3 year Starter.
  14. http://calpreps.com/cgi-bin/2017/preview_viewer_league.pl?number=1&league=Indiana:_Indiana_Crossroads CalPreps preview of the Indiana Crossroads Conference. The official rankings are Aug 11, 2017, but this is just where they see it now.
  15. http://www.bannergraphic.com/story/2416702.html Tony was a Ley Coach. So with his resignation, there wouldn't be any teaching openings. Not to say there isn't any at this point for a new coach.
