  1. Here is what I know... from the sectional team we fielded, only two Senior to be players did not show. One is 50-50 on not coming back out ( was a off and on starter) on OL DL. Mandatory has not started yet so this could change. The other SR to be did not start any games and may have had a few plays late in the 4th qtr... so not an impact. Another Sr to be quit around the 3rd week last yr... he was expected to be a starter last yr but when that didn't happen... coupled with non football issues, he quit. So we played 2/3 of the season without him.... so not a big deal.. he certainly could have helped this yr and probably would've been a starter on one side of the line. It it is absolutely untrue that 8 Sr to be players quit. I counted 11 out there this week
  2. Newton will be a tremendous asset to HH after having to play JV last year due to the transfer. He has strength and very good mobility for a HS lineman.
  3. Define success ...just winning a PAC conference? I much rather win IHSAA titles at the Sectional, Regional, SemiState, and State level PAC titles are highly desired especially when there are 3-4 teams playing good FB that can make it competitive... but I would hope the Goal is to be that State title contender year in and year out... in 3A ...the number one bench mark is a team nowhere in Spencer, Dubois, or Gibson County for that matter... we all need to look a bit North to a certain nemesis in Chatard.
  4. That would a NO. A lot can happen as we saw late last season. No doubt GS is the favorite but SR and HH will be very formidable foes for the Titans. NP is the team that I think can be on the upswing . They were very young and have good team speed
  5. Maddox, Lopez, Buse, Rea, Heeke, and Newton all are playing... picked up their Equip for the summer workouts. Add The 6-1 240lb Doyle to the mix at line or DE. Good size, very athletic, above avg line speed... there are some options to move some of these guys around... so where they will play is yet a mystery. We should have a fr team... approx 18-20 picked up equip. The frosh will take their lumps... I wouldn't play them at the JV level...size wise not ready! We did lose 7-10 in the younger ranks (9-10 gr)... Whoever said HH has less than 40 for the varsity is a bit shy on the guess... rumors are just that... rumors. All of the key players that we expected back are there! No surprises. I hope we are over looked this year... that will make it sweeter when a few opponents are left scratching their heads when the game clock hits 00:00! Line play . If we remain healthy, build on what we had last year, figure in the outstanding incoming soph class... HH will be just fine. A lot of young players but very skillful . Look forward to Yeager, Redman, and Rodgers in the backfield.
  6. HH returns the majority of O line and D line, both QB's 2 of the RB's several WR's and a good core from the 7-1 JV team and undefeated Frosh team that will have several incoming SOPH's playing at the varsity level. We have high expectations for the next 3 seasons.
  7. Haven't been on GID in a while....just saw this....I guess me watching film wasn't too far off. I said BC by atleast 3 td's and team A or B for Mem would make the difference....which team showed up for Mem?...I know which one showed up for BT! Didn't matter what team Memorial had in this Game....BT is the most consistent team in the Southern half of the state this year in 3A. I see them playing Concordia in the State title game!
  8. Oh I like EM...don't mistake my prediction...I have seen film on Mem...and BC....I just think this is BC's year....they are very sound and consistent.... Mem is a A or B type team...Team A shows up...we have a competitive game...team B...it's a long night for the Tigers..... Reed May is a HOF coach.... he will get it done!
  9. BC by 3 tds
  10. I heard from a very reliable source (a PAC AD) that majority of PAC member schools are not interested in adding any more members unless a school drops out. They are not willing to give up gate revenue on 1 to 2 big rivalry non conference games to save a sinking conference member from the Big 8 peril
  11. Great game by both teams congrats SR
  12. HH FG 34-31 SR turn SR 3-1 td SR wins in 2 OT 37-34
