      Corrupt files   07/26/2017

The server files for the forum were lost early in the morning 26,July 2017.   I restored the forum but using a fresh install of the forum software but we lost all of the images stored on the server. The way I see it... no big deal as it gives us a fresh start.   Over the next couple days I will restore the images I have saved for the forum. but I do not have everyone personal image. You can easily restore that yourself. Any pictures shared in a post that were stored here are also gone... again a fresh start of no clutter.    I just wanted to let you know what was going on. This will display until 1, Sept 2017.

  1. My mom never played football but she has trouble remembering things.
  2. New Turf In 2017?

Well, your school must be able to water your practice fields enough to keep them from becoming like concrete in August and September. The JV and freshmen teams never get to practice on the game field and pay the price with knee, ankle, shin, and feet soreness.
  3. New Turf In 2017?

I would challenge you on the comment it's easier on "knees and joints". I know coaches who say they have far fewer feet and ankle problems on turf than grass.
  4. New Turf In 2017?

I saw a band destroy a field on a rainy night several years ago. A major problem natural grass fields have in the Midwest is the growing season is winding down in September meaning the grass doesn't repair itself through growth as would occur in the middle of the summer.
  5. Hoosier Hills Conference 2017

Impartial - Agree on your comments about more to a conference than football. But other than wrestling at JC, what success has either school had for several years running in the last ten years in any boys sport in the conference?
  6. Hoosier Hills Conference 2017

Someone give me a good reason why JC and Madison should stay in the Hoosier Hills Conference, looking at their history.
  7. Hoosier Hills Conference 2017

So reading that the community and school administration are not willing to demand improvements in the football program at Jennings County High School, realistically, what do you see the future holding?
  8. Hoosier Hills Conference 2017

It's good to be optimistic but let's be realistic. Both teams have had only one winning season in the last ten years. Madison has had three winless seasons in the last ten. Both are over matched, especially Madison. I expect both coaching staffs battle attitude problems more than physical. I expect the communities have negative attitudes about their football teams. They probably enter the season up but after a couple of lopsided losses the "here we go again" attitude seeps in. School boards and administration that think they'll be competitive in the HHC in football are delusional. It's time to be rational.
  9. Hoosier Hills Conference 2017

East will easily win the conference, probably undefeated in the conference for the hundredth straight season. FC should be second. After that, who knows. I can't believe you folks think that highly of NA. Their two losses to the Columbus schools last year were running clocks in the second half. They're like Jeff. Athletes but no discipline. I expect BNL and Seymour in the top half of the standings. The other two schools should leave the conference. By the other two I meant Madison and Jennings County.
  10. Most interesting class

Warren Central, Carmel, Ben Davis, Center Grove. Since 2000, only three times have these four schools not won the biggest class.
  11. Good points. This is why preseason polls are silly in high school. They are based on last year and few teams are the same this year as they were last year. Interesting but mean nothing.
  12. Year in and year out, which class is the least predictable. Easily, the most predictable is class 6A. It's a four team tourney, with the other 28 schools filling out the bracket. The class with Cathedral, except when they're in 6A, is not too exciting. The other four classes seem to be more wide open. Thoughts?
  13. Hoosier Hills Conference 2017

Why would he retire? He has a good program going. He dominates the league he's in. He retired as a teacher a couple years ago and now just coaches. As long as he's healthy and enjoys it, why quit?
  14. Hoosier Hills Conference 2017

Not sure it will be that close.
  15. I just saw where Columbus North and Bloomington South will play their regular season game this year at Lucas Oil Stadium. It will be the second game of a doubleheader. The first game participants have not been announced yet.
