  1. As mentioned before, Mississinewa is changing from grass to turf as well as a new track surface at Fisher Field. Here is an updated photo of the new turf.
  2. The CIC should stay the way it is. Geographically, it is a great conference. I don't see Mississinewa looking to change conferences. Being in the CIC gives them games against all of their Grant County rivals in football except for Marion. Just because Ole Miss is the only 4A school in a 2A conference, I don't think they should look to switch. They have a larger enrollment, but they are equally competitive in almost all of the CIC sports. If the conference were to expand, the two schools I would like to see would be Tipton and Lapel. Geographically, Tipton is a good fit and in my opinion, Frankton and Lapel should be in the same conference, since they are part of the same school district.

  11. It was actually 4 TD's and it was FOR Polk High, not against.

  13. No offense taken Kenny. Yeah, Ole Miss would probably be the underdog against all of the others in the sectional, but I do like our chances against Logansport and the other 5 teams I mentioned.
  14. Not so fast my friend. Granted, Ole Miss has the misfortune of being the smallest 4A school in the state, Sectional 20 in 4A does have several blue bloods of IN high school football in it. However, if you look at the Sagarin rankings for this sectional, things may not be so dire for the Indians. 5 of the schools not named Dwenger or New Haven have very similar Sagarin rankings. On paper, Mississinewa, Marion, Leo, Ft. Wayne Wayne and Ft. Wayne South all appear to be competitive with each other; with Logansport rounding out the bottom. Depending on how the draw works out, I can see Ole Miss advancing a game or two. Do I think the Indians can hang with Dwenger or New Haven? No, but I like their chances against any of the other 6 teams in the sectional.
