      Corrupt files   07/26/2017

The server files for the forum were lost early in the morning 26,July 2017.   I restored the forum but using a fresh install of the forum software but we lost all of the images stored on the server. The way I see it... no big deal as it gives us a fresh start.   Over the next couple days I will restore the images I have saved for the forum. but I do not have everyone personal image. You can easily restore that yourself. Any pictures shared in a post that were stored here are also gone... again a fresh start of no clutter.    I just wanted to let you know what was going on. This will display until 1, Sept 2017.

  1. SAC Week One

Just to make this easy for me . . . weeks 1 - 9 Snider by 3+ touchdowns against North Side, South Side, Northrop, Wayne and Concordia; closer games with Dwenger, Luers, Carroll and Homestead. The rest of week 1 Dwenger by a bunch. Luers in a close, high-scoring game. Concordia in another close game. Homestead by at least 2 tds.
  2. 2017 New/Updated Stadiums

    Carroll in Fort Wayne.
  3. Tonight's games in the Summit Athletic Conference were scheduled to make this "Rivalry Week." For the most part I like the idea. The only downside is that I'll be attending the Carroll/Homestead game but I would also like to see the Dwenger/Luers matchup. Are there any other conferences that try to schedule rivalries all in the same week? 9/30/2016 schedule for the SAC Carroll (Fort Wayne) at Homestead (newest members of the SAC, formerly in the NHC) Fort Wayne Dwenger at Fort Wayne Luers (Battle of the Bishops) Fort Wayne Northrop at Fort Wayne Snider (schools share Spuller Stadium) Fort Wayne South at Fort Wayne North (teams play for the Totem Pole) Fort Wayne Wayne at Fort Wayne Concordia (Not really a rivalry)
  4. SAC Week 3

Dwenger's varsity scores 28 then the JV takes over to score 21 - Saints by 42. Wayne did play well against Luers, but I think Northrop is ready to win at least 3 games this season - Bruins by 4. Both Homestead and Luers show that can run the ball on offense and are having problems stopping the run on defense. The uncertainty at QB for Luers should give the edge to Homestead - Spartans by 7. Carroll should rebound but their defense and special teams gives up way too many big plays. This game could be closer than it should be - Chargers by 10. Concordia needs another 5 - 7 players to add depth to their well-coached and athletic team. Unfortunately, even if Snider gave the Cadets those players from their roster, they still win big - Panthers by 45.
  5. Just trying to be funny and not trying to insult anyone. In fact, over the years I always hoped that Northrop could turn it around. I think their last winning season was in 2003. They currently have a few good players but lack depth which is key to winning when playing in the SAC. Carroll/Snider could be a good game. I just think that Snider's overall talent will keep the Chargers from winning Friday night.
  6. I'm sure that this is a typo. Northrop is 1-3. The second lowest ranked 6A team according to Sagarin ratings. Lost to 3-1 Carroll, 48-14, in week one. Only win is against winless Wayne. If it's not a typo ... nice job Bruins!. Keep losing and maybe you'll replace Center Grove at the top of the 6A poll.
  7. SAC Week 3

The bye week for 6A is the week before the State Final. In 5A there are 34 teams, so the bye week for sectionals 10, 11, 12, 13, 15 & 16 (sectionals 9 &14 have two teams play the first round) is the first week of playoffs. I'm sure a coach would not want to risk getting a key player getting hurt right before sectionals, just to play an extra game.
  8. SAC Week 1

I also like the idea of two 5 team divisions. Weeks one & two available for out of conference play. Four games in the division and two games for division crossover. Rivalry games should be in weeks seven and eight. Week nine could then be "championship week" based on seeding. Divisions should be split so that Classes are in the same division (thus, ensuring that teams will not play each other back-to-back in week 9 and the first round of sectionals. Baker Division Carroll (6A) Homestead (6A) Northrop (6A) Luers (3A) Concordia (3A) Woodson Division Snider (5A) Northside (5A) Dwenger (4A) Wayne (4A) Southside (4A) It could work . . .
  9. SAC Week 1

Luers over Dwenger - The outcome might be different if the game was later in the season, but I think BL will make big plays to win. Snider over Wayne - As long as the Panthers run away (and run fast - very fast!) from Auston Robertson they should win by three scores. Carroll over Northrop - Aidan Smith should show why he is D1 legit. Chargers' defense will make it tough for the Bruins to score. Northside over Southside - I'd like to see the Archers turn their program around. Not this year. Homestead over Concordia - Coach Zolman will have his team ready for this SAC opener. Spartans by at least 10.
