  1. How realignment knocked Notre Dame off its pedestal http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/20580851/conference-realignment-leveled-field-notre-dame It is powerful indeed, especially in South Bend.
  2. http://www.indystar.com/story/sports/college/notre-dame/2017/05/15/notre-dames-charlie-weis-buyout-gift-keeps-giving/322298001/ Wow, that is a serious chunk of change.
  3. https://arstechnica.com/science/2017/09/after-murder-conviction-and-suicide-aaron-hernandez-found-to-have-severe-cte/ More fuel for the fire.
  4. https://arstechnica.com/science/2017/09/tackle-football-before-age-12-may-boost-risks-of-cognitive-mood-disorders/ More troubling data for the future of youth tackle football.
  5. No. Frankfort being 0-5, and really not competitive in any of it's games so far, is no surprise. As I said in another thread the CSF school board really needs to start a discussion on whether or not tackle football is still a viable extracurricular activity for it's community.
  6. Hoosier Conference 2017

Frankfort High School boy's soccer current record: 10-2. Frankfort High School football current record: 0-5. Soccer doesn't suck in Frankfort, Indiana.
  7. Stop Subsidizing Football http://reason.com/blog/2017/09/07/stop-subsidizing-football Good article. Definitely question to consider.
  8. Last Chance U

Anybody else watching this documentary series on Netflix? While the story is compelling and the production values are good, one thing turns me off. The outright vulgar and foul language by the majority of the EMCC coaching staff is IMHO despicable. Shouldn't these men be held to a higher standard, especially the head coach who seems to have the foulest mouth of the lot?
  9. http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2017/09/13/only-on-2-parents-coaches-brawl-on-football-field-following-youth-game/ How sad. Violence begetting violence.
  10. IMHO the ultimate high school football field, and all a school should need, is Fleur-De-Lis field in Greenfield, Illinois: I don't know if they serve Frito Pie though.

  13. Not all Texans: It’s Time To Stop Spending Tens of Millions of Dollars On High School Football Stadiums: https://www.texasmonthly.com/the-daily-post/mckinney-stop-tens-millions-dollars-high-school-football-stadiums/ Must be some crazy Texas liberal thinking there................
  14. Thank you for your support. I find it very sarcastic that you apparently describe core educational concepts like Math, Science, and English as extracurricular activities. Is that how they are treated in Fountain County?
  15. Sagamore Conference 2017

Playing an awful "4A" (in name only) Frankfort team won't do them any favors. Better for the Warriors to start their JV so the varsity guys can get a rest. They would still win by 28+
  16. Hmm, but you just said that is was, using the quote "Are you looking for your car keys?" Nice of you to backpedal....................
  17. That's not me, MCE, that's you and your ilk. Surely an intelligent individual like you realizes that.
  18. To try and educate those who willingly have their blinders on.
  19. Yes, unless they can support themselves without taxpayer funds.
  20. So the answer is yes. Meaning that taxpayer dollars are used to provide the facilities high school extracurricular activities (aka sports) use for their contests.
  21. So the football field/stadium where Seymour High School holds it's football games wasn't constructed using taxpayer dollars?
  22. 2017 Indianapolis Colts

Yep Doyel: The Colts have no idea what they're doing: http://www.indystar.com/story/sports/columnists/gregg-doyel/2017/09/10/doyel-colts-have-no-idea-what-theyre-doing/645793001/ Mr. Doyel isn't pulling any punches. And he is right.
  23. Yes, many such things. Like an ailing parent. I hope you never have one.
  24. Thank you all for your support of this endeavor, but I just don't have the time this season. Other pursuits are more important at the moment.
