Doesn't seem like it's been 5 years.  That game was another good one...very good Lincoln team that fell just short to the TItans.

This close (actually this was the 2012 OT game):

Wheels might be falling apart for the Alices right now. However, they are surprisingly a 7 point underdog in this matchup, should be an exciting one!

Going to be interesting on how GS will handle the mobility of Hunt

The 3 turnovers impacted the final on this game. Can't give any team that many opportunities especially at home.

Nobody actually uses Harrell's lines do they....I'll wait for Chris J.'s lines.....he has hit some of ours spot on.

This is going to be a fun game

on one hand you have Gibson Southern who is heavily favored

on the other you have a VL team who has been up and down but ultimately has shown they can play with anyone in the area

GS knows VL and the SIAC would love nothing more than to spoil it all….and the SIAC guys would love to hold it over our heads how a 5th place SIAC team beat the #1 PAC team.

GS has to come out and show they are the better team.  Boonville probably was just the right amount of humble pie GS needed to get fired up before playoffs.

no score prediction yet…but GS will definitely want to start this game strong and set their tempo.  Can’t let a team as good as VL hang around otherwise we could be looking at 2016 all over again

Got a soft spot here for the 2012 team.  Such a crazy run my senior year (not that I did anything other than watch from the sidelines)

besides the magic of that year….what always got me about the old photos/being there for it were the helmets in that first season lol.

coach hart wanted a new look to help with the fresh start and that’s when the white helmets came about….but that first year most of the helmets were the old maroon ones but painted white.

by the end of the season you could tell who on the defense was always bringing the heat because their helmets would be mostly white but the paint was chipping away and the maroon would show through….or in this case it was mostly maroon with a little bit of white left  😂

this might have continued on into 2013 but I’m not entirely sure when GS sold enough titans cards/game day tickets to afford new helmets

More the reason

Some of you SIAC guys still think Harrison is at the same level or better than Boon.  VL getting a W this week would make for a LONG offseason

I obviously don't know this, but I wonder if that Memorial loss (and maybe more so the way VL lost) may have been a huge mental blow to the Alices. I know Jasper has gotten healthy and will be a very tough out, but I really expected VL to bounce back and give the Cats more of a game on Friday. Doesn't look like it was though. Hunt is the slipperiest player I've seen in a while, so I'll be interested to see if he can get some mojo going against GS.

I'm not giving up on my Harrison over Boonville prediction just yet, but I definitely would have liked for Harrison to beat Bosse by more than 2 scores last week. I understand that other than handful of plays, Boonville didn't do all that much. Harrison had success against a depleted Jasper by stopping the run, so maybe they can use that blueprint and upset the Pioneers.

Honestly though, if I was betting real money I would take the PAC over SIAC in both match-ups. And based on my last few weeks on FanDuel that just might be the kiss of death to the Titans and Pioneers.

Let's go with Massey 21. or Calpreps 14.  You always seem to like Massey based on previous posts.

Massey is usually solid most of the time getting his picks right. Personally, I think GS wins this one, I was just surprised Harrell’s spread was that low

I have watched him closely over many years....and it seems like (on our lines at least) he reduces what I think the real spread should be by about 1 score...almost as if he is being kind to the underdog.  I just mean this in a very general sense not an exact science.

I think he cares more on his pick than his spread in my opinion. For the Reitz/Memorial game, he either had us as an 21 point or 24 point underdog in the game. Massey, somehow, gave the game as a tossup. I like to post the different spreads to compare them
