And Lakewood St. Edward is 6 spots below Moeller, even though they have the same record, and the Eagles gave Moeller their only L of the season … on the road … a shutout. Oh well, that’ll all be taken care of in the rematch in two weeks … for the Div. 1 championship.

Moeller's win over Lakota West is the primary reason and the rematch will settle the issue.

Cathedral drops off the map.

A loss to an unranked team by that margin.    The margin of error amongst those teams is so slim that a loss that like is enough to bump you out.     Besides, it is their second loss of the season to now two unranked teams.     If you use the daisy chain method (which I don't), Carroll beats HSE who beats Brownsburg who beat Cathedral.      Why isn't Carroll ranked?

We could start the old “head to head” vs. “resume” debate. Instead, let’s just hope the Eagles take care of Gahanna Lincoln and Moeller beats Springfield. Then we’ll get a rematch for all the marbles.

I'm sure you know this but watch out for Gahanna Lincoln.    They snuck up on me this season.   The early loss to Centerville is hard to explain, but since that game they have really had an impressive run.   Your Eagles have really picked it up on the defensive side of the ball in the post-season, allowing only six points in four games, the last three shutouts.   Should be a great game.    Would love to watch it but will be at LOS for our finals.

Yep, I know teams can fall sharply after a lose.

Eagles b*tch slap Gahanna Lincoln, 31-7. They will play Springfield — upset winner over Moeller — for the Div. 1 title next week. Ironically, I attended and played for St. Edward, but I was born in Springfield. Small world.
