Carmel-Ben Davis, Perhaps the most competitive big school rivalry in the state

Recommended Posts

Ben Davis and Carmel renew their rivalry again on Friday night at 7:00 pm from Giant Stadium. The Greyhounds lead the series, 25-24 after winning the last two games in the series to take their first lead since 1995. The series has been tied eight different times since then. It's just remarkable how close this series has been since the late 1990's. Research done by Jim Pich and yours truly on this one.

This series often favors the underdog.

You've gotta let it go.  They are ducking you.  Chiming in on this thread means they are in your head.  You've won three in a row...be happy.

I gotta admit....I am a little confused.  You have articulated over and over your thoughts about Carmel refusing to play CG and motives behind it.  You have also targeted other schools repeatedly with the same message.  But that is ok? Couldn't I use the same logic you are voicing above to you?

If you feel compelled to step into the hall monitor role to challenge the posts of others, perhaps first take your own medicine......just sayin'

Yep.  Don't have a dog (pun intended) in the fight.  I am able to view things from an unbiased perspective...unlike you and @Grover.

CG is light years ahead of Carmel right now...wolves should not worry themselves with the opinions of sheep.

Have an opinion if "neutral", but remain quiet if not.  That makes for one fun and interesting forum.

BTW, just so we are clear. I didn't make any comments.  Just trying to understand your logic.

Keep firing away @Grover   We all know you have way more GID seniority than the self-appointed "rulemaker"!!

Not a rule maker by any means but so many folks get their panties in a wad because I describe myself as an “unbiased official.”

The reason I do so is because I have absolutely no allegiance to any IHSAA member school including the one which I attended and the one who sends me bi-weekly direct deposits.

Most “fans” on here have loyalty to a particular program in one way or another and the fact that I don’t, combined with my brash nature and the fact that I don’t care about folks’ feelings, rubs people the wrong way.

Also, his “opinion” sucked.  Even you have to admit that.  It was a lazy, childish middle school lunch room style jab based in no evidence.  Carmel is “good.”  Center Grove is GREAT.  Comes across as weak on his part.
