Merrillville @ FW Snider 5A North Semi-State

Recommended Posts

If you ask me, next year will be better for Merrillville. Yes, they are losing Stephens, Elmore, and some other studs, but they return an all-state level DT in Adam Camphor, a D1 WR/CB in John Peters, 4 returning starters on the offensive line, a tailback that rushed for over 1,000 yards as a sophomore this year, and a new QB that can actually throw the football deep.

It's my hope, for obvious reasons, that Snider's not in 5A next year. I'll be cheering Merrillville on. Their program and fan base are ready for a shot at Lucas Oil. It's a tough pill to swallow when you're 0 for your last 8 opportunities.

28-0 Snider win, Panthers defense completely dominated this game. You could have played 8 quarters and Merrillville wasn’t scoring.

These two sentences sum up the game perfectly. The Snider defense was OUTSTANDING and that might be putting it mildly. I was extremely impressed with that unit. Thought the Pirates battled and fought hard but Snider was the better team and showed it for 48 minutes. Merrillville will be back, no doubt!

Merrillville’s defense was top notch, no doubt. Thought going into the game the Pirates would struggle to score much against Snider and that proved to be true, but the defense was legit for sure
