      Corrupt files   07/26/2017

The server files for the forum were lost early in the morning 26,July 2017.   I restored the forum but using a fresh install of the forum software but we lost all of the images stored on the server. The way I see it... no big deal as it gives us a fresh start.   Over the next couple days I will restore the images I have saved for the forum. but I do not have everyone personal image. You can easily restore that yourself. Any pictures shared in a post that were stored here are also gone... again a fresh start of no clutter.    I just wanted to let you know what was going on. This will display until 1, Sept 2017.

As every year, East's biggest game of the year is the second week of the season.  A win over North pretty much guarantees an undefeated season.  A loss means just another undefeated conference championship.

Floyd and NA have a lot of talent and most likely get 2 cracks at East this season. It won't suprise me in the least, if East loses one of them. They have to be past due for having a clunker against a lesser team. It has to happen sometime.

BNL fans how did the mitchell scrimmage go ?

Better than last year.

Last year was a turnover fest this year they protected the ball much better.

McCall Ray is a good little QB

Young team with only 9 seniors

Had a lot of penalties which I think I can attribute to a very young defense.

Good to open with South Dearborn at BNL this Friday

Then on the road at Terre Haute South.

This team is well coached boys have worked hard...now they have to do it on Friday nights.

I feel like BNL will be much improved. A lot of good athletes in that school and the coach seems to be pretty good.

Hard to say, I saw him in the 8th grade, he was a man among boys. Clearly matured fast.

In my biased opinion in middle school football was his best sport.  He had that IT factor. The skill that when we all watch a player on a Friday night that we all know that kid had D1 talent. Shame to see kids like that not playing multiple sports.

However that's just my opinion each kid and parent have to make their own decisions.

However, there is no shortage of good athletes at the skill positions at BNL. Tough nosed kids who have talent and work hard.

Yes, he is just basketball and was All-Conference as a Frosh last season. I have no doubt he would also make the All-Conference team in football as well and would probably be the best receiver in the HHC if he wanted to be. He showed some interest in thinking about football last season, but I think with the year he had in round ball he decided against it.

BNL has plenty of weapons to carry/catch the ball. Their success this season will come down to the OL/DL and Linebacker play. Young team, next year should be even better.

I watched him play basketball last season, and I was not impressed, whatsoever. However, he was only a Freshman so we haven't seen his best yet.

I'll give him a pass. He's still very young.

From info i have seen he has generated minor interest from IU HC Archie Miller. Could be more of a fanbase  recruit . Possibly a  preferred walk on .

Archie does his due diligience on every Indiana kid, as he should. In the event that Bailey becomes a Big Ten recruit, Miller would have a leg up. Much different than Tom "last minute" Crean.

Yeah  Crean wasn't being paid multi millions a year to be a good guy and i am glad he is gone  when it comes to his coaching he was out to lunch in most aspects of his profession. I think Brayton Bailey would bring a lot of fans just because of damon.

The coaches in the HHC were impressed apparently

Part of me wishes he would have broke the family tradition and became a standout d1 college football player. Don't know how talented he was at football but still would have been neat to see him in a  hoosier football uni.

That's all fine and dandy. I watched him struggle in 1 game. But it's just 1 game which isn't the end all, be all.

I saw the kid play Football as an 8th grader, he was an athlete. He clearly matured quicker than the other kids, so you have to take then into account. Comes from pretty good stock, his sister is a D1 BB player. I hate to see kids specialize, I hope it works out for him.

This article is certainly not applicable in all circumstances.....but college coaches in general seem to value multi-sport athletes. I do know the coaches at NA push kids to play other sports if they can.

The evidence is becoming overwhelming. As I've stated many times, my DD played college Softball, she had two D1 Softball coaches go watch her play basketball, one multiple times. Having been a HC and dealing with the recruiting process with several kids, I can verify a recurring theme from college coaches. They want athletes, they want competitors. They can't coach those things.

Coaching women, I never paid that much attention to men. This is purely my observation and my opinion, I have no data to back up an of this. When I watched specialist come thru, they seemed to be about as good as they were going to get when they were freshman. Obviously they might grow a little and mature, but skill wise I didn't see much development after their freshman year. Conversely I felt like multi-sport athletes continued to grow and develop as they got older, to the point where they were probably better skill wise than specialist by the time they were seniors. How many specialist burned out or not even playing by the time they get to high school or fizzle out by the time they get to be juniors or seniors? We all know there are a lot of MS can't miss phenoms, who never see the field/court in high school.

At Floyd, typically kids will only play 1 sport. Their are guys like Weimer who plays QB/PG. That's rare. Some guys who play football will also run track. Typically the fastest kids in the school.
