      Corrupt files   07/26/2017

The server files for the forum were lost early in the morning 26,July 2017.   I restored the forum but using a fresh install of the forum software but we lost all of the images stored on the server. The way I see it... no big deal as it gives us a fresh start.   Over the next couple days I will restore the images I have saved for the forum. but I do not have everyone personal image. You can easily restore that yourself. Any pictures shared in a post that were stored here are also gone... again a fresh start of no clutter.    I just wanted to let you know what was going on. This will display until 1, Sept 2017.

Does anyone know if they will still have the entrance toward the south end of the field?

Trustees decided earlier this year to sell about $7.2 million in low-interest bonds to pay for the corporation's summer projects, including work done at the stadium. The bonds, which will be paid back to investors by the end of 2021, will cover the cost of maintenance work at several buildings.

Yay for more taxpayer debt to pay for an extracurricular facility.

According to the article "The main entrance will be relocated away from a parking lot to increase safety and allow people to enter the stadium more smoothly, said Denise Seger, the corporation's associate superintendent. It will still be on the east side but will be farther to the north, where more room is available.

'This will provide a safer area where someone can stand while they're waiting and not in the parking lot. And it will be well-lit,' she said. 'We're trying to enhance the stadium's appearance, but we're also looking at the safety component.'"

If it supports the school, yah.

Not all of the school.  Just those that play a sport, like football, or possibly soccer if it shares that field.

Yeah, because Physical Education classes will never use those facilities, nor does the band, or anyone holding a possible community event.  :15:

Looking forward to seeing the renovated facility on my farewell tour this year. Always one of my favorite places to work. Lots of great experiences there.

Girls lacrosse, powderpuff football would also probably use the facility.

I assume Muda you don't believe a school district should allocate money for campus landscaping as well, mowing, watering, trees etc...correct?

Basic maintenance and upkeep, yes.

A million dollars of taxpayer money for a facility primarily used to host extracurricular activities, no.

What events are the landscaping costs supporting? How are they benefiting the learning experience of all students?

seems like you are picking and choosing your criteria to fit your ideology

I support funding the basic infrastructures needs, which includes mowing the lawn, that government schools building(s) would require.   What I don't support is the taxpayer funding of Taj-Mahal like structures used primarily for extracurricular activities.   Frankfort's own Case Arena, in the town that I currently reside, is a prime example.

And yes, I do pick and choose.  Just like everyone else.

I personally don't care how high you let the grass and weed on your own private property grow.   However I do recognize the need, primarily for safety and aesthetic reasons, why grass in public places should be get at a reasonable height.
