  1. 2A Sectional 47

I wholeheartedly agree that Linton is the favorite and should win. However, one bad quarter against South Knox, Eastern, or Mitchell could be the end. I do however think that Linton could also runaway with this sectional, as even in recent games against Sullivan and Terre Haute South, I feel like Linton played some of there worst ball and was still in the game until the end(not to take anything away from those two teams of course). Also, I have not seen a Linton team that can quite shoot like this year's.
  2. 2A Sectional 47

This is true, however Eastern Greene was playing without their suspended players. That make Eastern an unknown come next week.
  3. Now this is a State Championship game!!
  4. Just to be picky, didn't Linton keep them under 21? ;)
  5. Jones was hurt prior to the power delay. They had another qb in when they had the long touchdown run called back.
  6. I really think Eastern might try to pass more to try and loosen up the stout Pioneer defense. There were more than 12 pass attempts in the game last year, and Eastern is definitely more likely to pass than Linton. :D
  7. 812 Football 2017

I know it's a long shot, but Eastern Greene gives us a shot at 5. 812 looking pretty good this year!
  8. I do not think it will be close if Southridge plays like they have been, however Providence reminds me a lot of North Posey, just not as many formations and trick plays. It was 32-6 with about 10 minutes in the 4th. I feel like we thought it was over. Next thing you know, a kick touchdown, a fumble returned for a touchdown, a Linton touchdown, a passing touchdown, and a blocked punt that leads to another passing td. They have some athletes, but should not be much of a problem if you contain their running back, as I would compare him to #5 from North Posey.

  13. As fans, that is kind of our job ;). I hope we are still focused on Week 8, and then week 9 to get all of the mistakes ironed out. Do I believe Linton can beat North Posey? Yes, possibly by 2-3 scores minimum if they play like they are capable. Do I think Linton can win sectionals? Yes I do. However, I do believe we could lose big if we show up flat at all, as this is not the same sectional we have dominated over the last several years. Beefing up the schedule has helped this team out so far this year, but we won't know until the postseason if it has helped enough.
  14. I think his point was North Posey was not mentioned, but what do I know ? :) On the other hand, this sectional will be a dandy! Good luck to all teams!
