  1. NFL Touchdown Celebrations

I am still waiting for a player to mimic Curly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2iZPRif2i4
  2. SAC week 7

More than you think. Would you be surprised to know that for many years a Lutheran Minister taught at Luers?
  3. SAC week 4

Can you tell me about the roster? I know about the skill positions, but how about the make of the line? Size, ages, depth?
  4. SAC week 4

It is hard form me to judge when I am watching on the internet, but remember that many of these coaches were there when Luers took home 4 state championships a few years ago. From what I understand, much of the line is very young and still learning not only their position, but also how to deal with their emotions during the game and the season. I know you have been there. I remember a 1999 Luers team with barely a winning regular season record going on the win a state championship. A couple of the Sophomore players were named Lindsay and Spencer. Later they were part of the Great Eight. Mary is still a committed Luers fan and helps out for free. A smaller number of people had to put up with me at wrestling matches, but I did it for free because I love wrestling and wanted to do for the wrestlers. Trust me when I tell you it is not easy
  5. I did not know where to post this. Moderators, please feel free to move this thread to a different forum. I remember watching this young man play both football and basketball. He had a short Pro Football Career. Very Sad http://wane.com/2017/06/08/body-found-in-river-identified-as-ex-nfl-former-elmhurst-player-james-hardy/
  6. Sectionals are out

Luers in 3A sectional 28 and Jimtown in sectional 27. Does this mean that the Knights and the Jimmies could renew their regional playoff rivalry? I know that its a long playoff road to get that far, but some of the best games I have witnessed was between these two teams.
  7. Way Too Early 3A Top Ten

Not stunning. Bellmont was flat out better than Luers that night.
  8. Way Too Early 3A Top Ten

Most, if not all, of the Luers coaches are former players who have earned a blue ring. These coaches know what it takes. The players must be willing to make the sacrifice to follow these coaches. Next season starts now!
  9. 3A State Championship game

Concordia truly put it all together this year. Congrats!
  10. I guess the old saying holds true: "Never let the score be close enough for the ref to decide the game." I am torn on the court filing. On the one hand, the school is trying to make things right for their students. However, we stress to our young athletes that we need to accept the decisions of the referees.
  11. Luers Homstead game changed

At least they are familiar with that field due to the scrimmage being there. I have heard some say that the rest of Luers home games will have to be at USF. Any word on that?
  12. SAC Week 3

  13. SAC Week 3

He means Luers QB being helped off the field towards the end of the game after an apparent knee injury. From what I was seeing happening with him on the sidelines, it did not look good. However, looks can be deceiving. Having said that, Luers offense looks like it can handle the situation: Good blocking, a stable of good running backs, and a senior backup QB. I am more worried about the Defensive line.
  14. FW Snider QB transfer?

Here is a News-Sentinal report on it: http://www.news-sentinel.com/sports/high-school-football/article/Prep-Football-Notes--QB-transfer-situation-unfolding-at-Snider
  15. SAC week one picks

I love your optimism and I will be cheering for Luers on every play. However, I think the odds are against them. At the very least, Carroll can keep putting in fresh bodies and wear the Knights down over the course of the game. Or am I missing something?
