  1. IU-Purdue Recruiting Deadlock

Doesn't seem like the sky is falling DT...... https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/college/indiana/2018/06/19/iu-football-recruiting-2019-class-gaining-momentum-under-tom-allen/713442002/
  2. School Fight Songs

I believe BNL's originated from Give My Regards to Broadway..... https://www.tmnews.com/sports/bnl-pep-band-plays-school-fight-song/video_cf523c08-2585-545a-b43c-541f7e0fb8ab.html
  3. I concur...Lots of public weigh-in and documented support before the SAC was approved and constructed. Much more vetting as the SAC was a much bigger project.
  4. I'm a little bummed at your disappointment in the investment....is this why you didn't show up at the Student Activity Center opening?? https://goo.gl/images/F6yiAK https://goo.gl/images/1gGL74
  5. You are really grasping now Muda.....I think you are safe of that risk in your county....and you know it.
  6. I don't give a Tinker's Darn as to what your county officials decide. I'm not sure why you care about mine.
  7. LOL....you could have saved time by reading the article in the first place instead of repeatedly asking. Then when you are spoon fed, then you challenge the school board's decision. No matter the answer you received, we all knew the response coming. Do you think the WRT school board pays much attention to the opinions of a Clinton County resident?? Do you vote in Johnson County?
  8. It was the 2010 team that battled Warren the last game of the season (week 9) going to OT, in which they beat each other physically. Both teams were nationally ranked during the season and both ended up losing early in the playoffs. They physically wrecked each other last game of the season. The change to CG and WC playing the first game of the year occurred in 2013. http://pastfb.homestead.com/logs/CenterGrove.htm#loaded
  9. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

Maybe it was... CG had some really nice W's. Tied for the MIC crown....beat Zionsville at their place. But lost to Franklin twice, Indian Creek once. 17-10-1 I believe.
  10. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

Franklin also beat CG earlier in the season 9-3. CG had a solid year...but was up and down.
  11. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

What year? I thought your quote said this year. That is why I was puzzled.
  12. Way too close to home

Very few want to talk about the demographics of males, white and young....... http://www.businessinsider.com/why-most-terrorists-and-mass-shooters-are-millennial-men-2017-11 Your comments are spot on. We think bullying just got invented. Well, it was alive and well back in my day....a day at a large rural HS in which student had guns in their truck gun racks parked in the high school parking lot, and never dreamed of carrying that weapon into school and opening up on their classmates. What we attempt to rationalize and explain today is beyond comprehension. Its easier to put it on the government, and to blame a tool (guns) and an organization (NRA) than to look in the mirror and challenge ourselves as to why the culture has changed, and changed for the worse. After all, we are the generation that is always smarter than the people that came before us. Why can we ever learn from them? (sarcasm) And most of society certainly doesn't want to hold themselves accountable for this problem.
  13. Have to brag about Danny Godlevske again...just made the Rimington Watch List as one of the country's best centers again for the 2018 season...Way to go Danny!! http://www.miamiredhawks.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/053018aac.html
  14. Former Chatard OL all-stater Danny Godlevkse is on the Rimington Watch List as CFB's most outstanding center. Danny started as the center for Miami of Ohio last season. He is 1 of 4 sophs on this list. http://www.miamiredhawks.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/052217aab.html
  15. Hunter Johnson leaving Clemson

Looks like Duke now in the picture https://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/05/29/report-duke-in-play-for-transferring-clemson-qb-hunter-johnson/ https://247sports.com/Article/Duke-football-emerges-as-an-option-for-Clemson-QB-transfer-Hunter-Johnson-118601553
  16. To me, it's not about necessarily about being un-American. But it insensitive and is hurtful to so many Americans that have significantly invested in the defense of this country. To so many veterans and their families. 1.1 million Americans have come home (or haven't come home) paying the ultimate price for this country. The flag and anthem represents our country to so many. Our flag covers the coffins of every American defending this country dies and does make it home. That flag is then folded and handed to a wife, husband, mother, dad, etc. Bottom line, it's emotional and has deep meaning for so many. Most people don't have an issue with the protest and why....its when and how the protest occurs. And the message is being lost. Whether one agrees or disagrees with using the anthem and flag as a means to protest isn't really the issue...its knowing that doing so causes pain to so many...and yet chooses to continuing it. Using the flag and anthem to protest absolutely alienates people. Not about flag protest and since this is a football forum, thought I would ask if folks have seen this yet? Very well done.
  17. Muda, from the high school forum to the college forum. I predict next you will post about CTE on the NFL forum and finally will hit it on OOB. A+ for extreme perseverance and passion......F for being a broken record. Judge Wapner is on at 4pm.
  18. Hunter Johnson leaving Clemson

IU in the hunt? https://www.landof10.com/indiana/indiana-football-pursuing-quarterback-hunter-johnson-clemson-transfer Chicago Tribune article about Northwestern making a push for Hunter http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/college/ct-spt-northwestern-recruiting-hunter-johnson-20180521-story.html
  19. 6A Football

You sure about golf? Have you seen a decline in enrollments in MIC schools?
  20. you weren't simply posting/sharing information...you were sharing your personal beliefs (which is ok) I believe it an attempt to drive discussion. Well done. The troll comment was tongue in cheek when you attempted to deflect and represent my views that had nothing to do with your own thread. But kudos to you....some excellent discussion.
  21. That is one way to avoid answering questions I posed to you about risk....try to deflect and turn the table. In a way, you are being a troll to your own thread.......nice work!!
  22. I do want to be clear. I like Muda...his heart is in the right place. And he's absolutely entitled to his belief on what's best for his children. I just don't think it makes another parent less caring/concerned for their children because they allow their child to play football. We all accept risk for our children, as its not a risk free world. We know youth concussions is not just a football issue. Should we ban a number of youth sports? https://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2015/08/24/concussions-can-occur-in-all-youth-sports/ Looking forward to getting out the Clackers with my youngest this weekend, while we play Jarts!!
  23. Can't we say the say about fast food to include over eating about long terms impacts leading to health care needs? https://www.healthline.com/health/fast-food-effects-on-body Use of sugar? https://avocadu.com/sugar-destroys-childs-long-term-health/ Where does it stop?
  24. 1. It's not apples to oranges...risk is risk and I am curious how you process it. How do you get comfortable allowing your children to be exposed to a much great risk of operating a motor vehicle, or being in a vehicle operated by another, yet are so passionate about not allowing them to be exposed to the game of football? 2. You are not reading...I was clear that my question was not about minors using drugs. My question was about you being ok with the legalization of drugs, even though we know it brings inherent risk...to both the user, and to non-users (which include minors). E.g., auto accidents, crime, etc. Why is the risk acceptable to you in both above scenario's, yet its unacceptable to you with parents making their own calls about their children participating in football? I am just seeking to understand your position. No judgement...its ok if we believe differently.
