  1. So you're saying that the HC has no control over who is on his staff at any of the EACS schools? This is the first time I've heard that. I find this unbelievable. Yes, I would say this is a huge disadvantage, if in fact it is true. I know many other public schools where the HC has control over who is on his staff, teachers or not.
  2. Do you agree with "Im a Saint"'s assessment? I don't see many NH fans coming on a public forum and singling out a player from an opposing team and calling him names.
  3. This is exactly why it's difficult to root for BD. It's not because of their great kids or outstanding coaches. It's because of the handful of arrogant fans. My guess is that you haven't even seen ECC play and just came across this quote online. Please take a look at some of their highlights on regionsports.com. This Carter kid (#2) is the real deal on both sides of the ball and doesn't strike me as a hot dog at all. Even though I'm an NHC guy, and we have some very good running backs in our conference, this kid is lightning in a bottle and much faster than Vasquez or Mable. It doesn't appear he is a one man band, either. It's hard to gauge their team speed versus the Morton team or the other team their playing in those highlights, but this ECC team looks extremely fast. BD is very good, but they better not start packing their bags for Indy just yet.
  4. No, I didn't say out coached. Coach R is a great coach and has done an outstanding job with our program (11-2, conference and sectional champs is a good year). I was just stating that I was impressed with BD. However, I still believe that New Haven has better athletes than BD.
  5. I agree with you. I was very impressed with BD. Yes, their D was good on Friday night, but their offense is fantastic. Schematically, this is a much different offensive Dwenger team than in the past. They used to run more of a shotgun veer. They were still running gun option on Friday night, but it's not the same old veer they've been running the last few years. They used to be very predictable and stay in the same formations most of the game (usually just had better talent than every other team they played). This offense kept us on our heels all night, and it definitely wasn't because of superior talent. Someone in the stands said their head coach isn't running their offense anymore and he's turned over the reigns to another staff member. For not really having any D1 talent (Fiacable and Watercutter are close), they are impressive in all facets of the game.
  6. Luers Football...It's time.

I am in agreement with kdets. Talk about a huge PR machine. Can't believe how much pub a back-up QB on an 0-5 team is getting.
  7. NECC Regular Season 2013

I've seen some other NE Indiana teams do this over the past couple years and was just curious as to who pays for these jerseys? Is it the local schools that are buying them or is there some promotion by the armed forces/national guard that helps pay for them? Also, do the kids get to keep the jerseys at the end of the season?
