  1. Had to dig out the password to come in on this one.

Maybe I can stir up some of the old crew to do the same and wake this topic up

A rematch of not only a few weeks ago but a revival of one of, if not the best thread ever on this site.

I think this is the premier matchup of the week.

Trojans are VERY good, i'm going EC 27-Rebels oops royals 14

    Sorgi was NOT IN forever

    rooting for recruiting NEVER

  2. Glad to be back, not a lot to say yet I'm going to let the picks wait a week until i see how this week goes

Will take the Dogs by 10, and the Trojans by at least 2 TD's otherwise too many unknowns at this point

Im sure STC is even busier than normal at the shop, I heard he got a promotion.

he's still cracking tiger BL's but I'm sure he will find time to give his insight at some point

Need an APB on some of the old favorites, we have a standard to uphold as one of the most entertaining groups on the GID

  3. Been a while but i had to chime in since there is now a FAKE doctor from the private trojans in our space

So glad to see the STC back in midseason form, too bad his team still thinks its preseason by last weeks 2nd half performance

Not up to speed on all the Non Tiggers and Trojans

I'm picking EC all day even after the bus ride they will show the indy boys what big time Football is.

I am trying very hard not to go on a private school rant for now i will save that for later this year if it becomes necessary

Tigger will bounce back and get a win this week

  4. To answer your question YES IT DOES SMELL ( its the Seagram's Distillery) and it smells like death and cat food, the NYC subway has nothing on the smell of this place

Sometimes it travels miles up the hill to those of us who look down on the dirty burg

I still remember when the Crock would go yell at the cheapskates who would sit on the curb of a state hwy to watch the game because they were to cheap to buy a ticket

Nothing but love for my boys who run the show and the success of their program and I must say they have improved the facilities 1000%,

still not sure they compete with the Trojan Nation for great place to watch a game with top tier facilities

anything tops the ark, the smoke and mud show at SD, and the horse track with dead grass at dog town,  or the 6 fans in the home stands at connertucky

  5. I am still confused how this considered a great venue to watch football, yes they have turf and its in a pit,

    but how is

    the smell

    seating for 100 visitors

being surrounded by hillsides covered in rocks

a press box that holds 8 people

playing next to a highway while semis drive by

and that damn fake tiger growl every 5 minutes a great atmosphere

its all still better when you had standing water all year mosquitos the size of hummingbirds and a press box that held 4 and swayed when a semi went by

  6. You mean to tell me someone at LHS has more than one account SHOCKING!!!

Not to stir the pot but I didn't think that post was that out of line.

JR was a great coach and person just my opinion, never understood the need to bash a person who doesn't have a chance to defend themselves and didn't think that post was doing that.

FYI its 2 people Jimmy and Chuck with one computer sometimes they argue with each other sometimes with themselves.

  7. I'm just here to solve problems and expose other peoples weaknesses

Lets start with the Dogs I sure don't see how a team that got beat by Milan has a shadow of a change against the Tiggers, lburg by 10

Call them what you may and put your cute little pictures on here but SD has never nor will ever be at the same level as the Trojan nation

Much respect the any and all Ballarts (I think the spelling thing is genetic) and props to what he has done at SD but EC by 21

The rest of the EIAC is an after thought

Just glad to see the EIAC thread is back in true GID form just need to wake up the Big Duck, randlsover, and few more to get it really rolling

  8. First off to clarify,  in my experience lay coaches are still paid in most if not all situations. There is a difference between lay coach and volunteer coach.

Hiring a lay coach presents no monetary savings over a staff member.

In my experience it should always be a priority to hire teachers than can and will coach, the problem is in this day and age of overemphasis on test scores and requirements of teachers after normal working hours the time do everything and still coach is overwhelming.

Administrators are more focused on test scores and school grades and need to realize that not only do teachers who coach have better relationships with the students but have higher job satisfaction.
