  1. Center moving ball

Sounds like just a 5 yard penalty.
  2. Officials and "Scouting Reports"

As someone already stated, unless an official was passing along video to other people I would have no problem with Referees asking for a scouting report. In fact, I'd be THRILLED TO DEATH if they asked because that means to me they care so much about their job and it's probably going to be a very good crew.
  3. Intentional Grounding

Let me set up the situation here: At the end of our JV game last night, we had an 8 point lead and we had the ball on our own 25 yard line with 9 seconds left. We tried to tell our QB to take the shotgun snap and run backwards and if necessary, throw the ball out of the back of the end zone in a worst case scenario (I was scared to death of our punting unit). I told the ref what we might possibly do. He told me that it would be intentional grounding if we threw it out of the endzone. Question: I thought intentional grounding was for all forward passes. If we throw it backwards, isn't that just considered a fumble?
  4. I don't like this rule because I think every personal foul should result in an automatic first down. Just my opinion, but I don't like this rule.
  5. Bob, To me this seems like a silly rule change. I don't get it. Not that I disagree with it, but where is this change coming from?
  6. Why are ONLY football coaches supposed to receive this training?
  7. Sorry yeah, meant illegal participation. Thanks for clarification.
  8. So let me get this straight: In Indiana HS Football, if a player 'accidentally' touches the ball while one part of his body is OOB, then it's a penalty on K. If he purposely steps out of bounds and touches it, it is 'illegal touching' by the R?
  9. Question about a rule I've seen posted. Is this true?
  10. DAWGs Dandy Dozen

  11. Alabama HS debacle

IMO, this is grounds for firing these coaches.
  12. DAWGs Dandy Dozen

I'll tweet you my advice in 140 characters or less.
  13. IHSAA relase

If true, that'd mean Fort Wayne Wayne AND Jennings County would both stay in 5A.
