  1. I don't know how good NP will be but I guarantee they unveil a formation or play no one has seen before during the season....lol I bet Coach Schenk was awesome in sandlot football games growing up!
  2. Indy?? The talk was Decatur Central
  3. Naw....Princeton?? Lol. They did for the 2008-2009 basketball state champs. A couple of them are actually serving time right now.
  4. I'll bet you the Evans' boys don't play a down for Princeton next year.
  5. I've heard Dline and Oline are the concerns for Memorial this year. And maybe replacing a FB..lol.
  6. Don't get Tango started on the recruiting thing...lol. I've discussed Memorial's recruiting in the past with him.
  7. Sweet! Do you have freshman and middle school stats too?
  8. We actually heard it when Jordan Scheller graduated too. I agree...I don't think QB will be a problem.
  9. I think he's referring to the rumors that they have left Princeton and are heading north now. We shall see.
  10. Ken Dilger...Heritage Hills, Illinois, & Colts. Those were the days GS & HH weren't in the same conference so I didn't get to see him in football. But we were able to beat him in baseball regionals while he played first base. A few high school & pros.. Scott Rolen
  11. GS beats HH 50-45

Gibson Southern girls improved to 15-4 and gave the Pats their 2nd loss of the year. To quote Dave from the boys GS/HH game...the big difference (reason it was so close) this one they were letting big time contact go , If your opponent is throwing elbows going to the basket you need to do the same or you are in for a long night." I thought we were watching the 95-96 Bulls with Jordan. I haven't seen that much go uncalled on 1 player since. Between hooks, elbows, and hip bumps...this #23 got away with alot. But good win for the Titans and puts them in the driver seat for the PAC title.
  12. Combining South Gibson Basketball Teams

In 7th and 8th, I don't think they need to play all the PAC schools. There is a PAC tourney at the end of the year where they will see those teams. Nothing wrong with playing Princeton, Vincennes, Castle and some other Evansville schools during the regular season. I actually see both sides of this. In football we try to turn at least 25 kids in each grade over to the high school team each year as freshmen. In basketball it would be nice to turn 12 to 15 over as freshmen each year. That would be my only hesitation....not sure if we could get that year in and year out with a consolidated team. Hell just 2 years ago Haubstadt won back to back girls hoop PAC titles and a volleyball title. It's impressive because they get to add Ft. Branch, Owensville, & St. James kids to the mix for high school. When with the other teams, what you saw is what you are getting in high school. Haubstadt's 8th grade boys should be favorites to win this year.
  13. Evans Brothers Leave Central

The Big 8 is usually solid with Jasper, Vincennes Lincoln, Mt. Carmel (Illinois)...then factor in Mt. Vernon, Boonville, and Princeton who can have decent teams every few years. Washington has been down for a while and I'm not sure what the future holds for the Hatchets.
  14. Evans Brothers Leave Central

Central would have been very good next year as well. I don't think it was their choosing to transfer.
  15. Or in Memorial's case...non-Catholics....lol
  16. Rules Ideas

Exactly 3-1/2 hour games plus commercials don't work for television. The main reason is being able to package games with commercials in 3 hours.
  17. Rules Ideas

Hate #2. That's done for television reasons in NFL & NCAA. Leave it the way it is. What else do you have to do on a Friday night? Next you'll want to do it for incomplete passes.
  18. AIS is a non-traditional school at helps "at risk" kids. Here is a link..http://aisdiamond.evscschools.com/. I do think kids that go there can play for Bosse.
  19. So they are going to Bosse now??
  20. Maybe the thakilla can fill us in.....did 1 brother get expelled from Central?
  21. Word is that the 3 Evans brothers have transferred to Princeton.
  22. South Spencer Job

I don’t think it’s anything like when the GS job came open. I’d say it’s a lot more like the North Posey or Mt. Vernon jobs when they came open. I’d say Central opening this year was more like GS.
  23. Regional scores

Lawrenceburg only has 1 horse. No chance of coming back. This one could get ugly. On to Danville!
