  1. Sagamore Conference 2018

I hear Crawfordsville is in bad shape. Needing coaches very bad. Low morale. Just wondering, I’ve always thought that could be a good job.
  2. Sagamore Conference 2018

TW loses its entire defense, but returns entire offense with the exception of Watson and Blake. Will need a bunch of Sophs and Freshmen to step up. I don’t see anyone beating Danville. Slaton steps in at QB. Skinner/Schubert is a 2 headed monster at running back. Return 3/5 OL. Broderick at WR is a big time weapon. Will need some guys to step up on defense. Danville WeBo Lebanon Tri-West Southmont Crawfordsville North Montgomery Frankfort
  3. The Hoosier Conference 2018

Tri-West vs. LCC week #1. Varsity teams have never played each other. JV teams played a series back in the late 90s. That was stopped when TW joined the Sagamore conference in 1999. Looking forward to this meeting.
  4. Best Chances for 2018 Title

Western Boone will be a legitimate contender in 2A. They return almost their entire team. They played and rotated a lot of Sophomores last year.
  5. Game of the weekend?!?

3A will be the best game Brebuef with the stout defense and Memorial with the high powered offense. I also like the 1A matchup. I think Pioneer will win, but Eastern Greene is a great story. Pioneers offense is so skilled and efficient. Eastern Greene has some big athletes that will put some shots on Kiser. In the end Kiser takes over and Pioneer rolls. I got Pioneer, Southridge, Brebuef, Lowell, Columbus East, and Ben Davis.
  6. Sagamore Conference 2017

In 1993, TW played them at the deaf school. I think the WEBO faithful will be fine.
  7. Bad Weather (Favorite Games)

I played in that game. I remember looking down one time and I couldn't see my feet. Billy Morton was a stud. That TW was loaded. We had 12-15 guys that went on to play college football.
  8. Sectional 30

South Vermillion does seem to be playing well at the right time. Lopsided wins over Fountain Central and Attica are good wins. Danville seems to have stalled a little. Things aren't coming as easy as the first part of the season. Still think Warriors take care of business with a some solid defense. Danville by 20. Monrovia and TW combined have lost to some good ranked teams. West Lafayette, Linton, Ritter, Danville, Lutheran, Scecina, Western Boone. And some big schools Lebanon, Plainfield. But neither has beaten anyone with a decent record. This game will go down to the wire. Bruins by 3.
  9. Sagamore Conference 2017

Doesn't matter if Washington plays or not. WeBo is playing their best football right now. Stars by at least 2 scores.
  10. Sagamore Conference 2017

Brunes game plan was masterful on D for WEBO.
  11. Not really a surprise, but 2A looks extremely weak!
  12. Sagamore Conference 2017

TW gets a sideline warning in the first half. Typical coach out of the box interferes with sideline ref. No big deal. Later in the 2nd half when things were getting tight, TW gets 2nd sideline warning and a flag. TW coach goes nuts arguing that the referee intentionally leaned toward and stuck his shoulder out to make contact with TW assistant coach. Then after about 2 minutes of referee/coach conference. Sideline ref throws another flag for unsportsmanlike conduct on TW assistant coach. And all of this was right after a horrendous personal foul call on TW for "NFL like defenseless receiver" play. And to top it off, on the play TW got an interception and would have had the ball at the 35 with scored tied in the 4th. Still should have won the game. Several critical mistakes by a young team and a young coach. WEBO has a lot of work to do if they are a 2A contender!
  13. Sagamore Conference 2017

Danville is a legitimate state contender. They completely destroyed Mooresville at Lucas Oil on Friday. They remind me of TW in 2003-2005. Athletes all over the field. Can score from anywhere at anytime. Fun to watch.
  14. Sagamore Conference 2017

    1. I don't like the idea of traveling to Southmont for a 9AM game. 2. It will be hard for 6 different communities to agree on issues from year to year. 3. IMO, Putting all the 6th graders on one team will limit participation, development, and playing time.
  15. Sagamore Conference 2017

Hearing TW will be solid on defense. Offense will need a lot of work. As for the new youth league, not a big fan of it.
