  1. Wenker breaks one FC 29 Stars 21 Kid is fast and you aren’t going to contain him for an entire game. Stars fall 29-21 these 2 will decide the sectional championship. Floyd isn’t nearly as good as some are convinced they are.

  3. He’s complained 3 times for it to be turned off I’m near the sidelines. Always excuses It is raining and you aren’t executing
  4. Apparently it’s only raining on Floyd? I always forget how annoying it is to play here and even the PA guy. Officials multiple times have had to ask for music to be turned off and PA guy disagreeing with calls on field. 🙄 Floyd 19 BNL 14 at half
  5. Stars tie it 7-7 FC takes Drive and scores but PAT was blocked 13-7 FC
  6. FC-7 BNL-0 after 1 Stars driving after long pass from Nikirk to Hutchins. Inside 10
  7. East over Seymour Jeff over JC New Albany over Madison FC over BNL
  8. Our center (Team Captain will play in college) has missed whole season 2 other OL out for season Starting LB (team Captain will play in college) out for rest of season We are starting 3 Freshmen possibly our starting center will be a Freshman. I’m also here...your assessment/assumptions are incorrect just like your sportswriter who said clock was running in 2nd quarter last week. some of the seniors who will be playing would not have been had there not been so many injuries. a couple guys who’ve been out due to injury are back tonight we will battle
  9. BNL has been very successful in both Unified Track and Unified Football. These stories and these athletes getting a chance to play is just all kinds of good. BEDFORD — The Bedford North Lawrence Unified flag football team is no stranger to success. The Stars have been to the proverbial mountain top and enjoyed the view as the first-ever school to win a unified flag football football state championship in the state of Indiana last year. Now, after convincingly winning the Jasper Sectional Saturday, a momentum-rich BNL is once again marching down the tournament trail. The Stars came into the 2019 season rebuilding and, with a mere five players back from last year’s squad (just two starters), weren’t sure what to expect. But the goal from Day 1 has been to win another state championship and Saturday’s effort was a big first step. “We want back-to-back titles,” said BNL coach Mike Branam. “Our goal is to be the only state champions of flag football. That would be phenomenal.” Branam also knows the further his team goes down the trail the tougher the competition will be and the bigger the bulls-eye gets on their backs as defending champions. “I told the kids, ‘Everybody is coming after us’, and even though we’re a new team the other teams don’t see it that way,” Branam said. “All the kids have stepped up. They are playing like they want to be state champions, and we’re doing everything in our power to make that happen.” BNL didn’t go without its problems Saturday at the Jasper Sectional, but still managed to roll past Floyd Central and Loogootee. The Stars first topped the Highlanders, 48-22, before leveling the Lions in the title tilt, 50-12. “We played well,” Branam said. “We made more mistakes than we wanted to, but they recovered. “I tell them all the time one of the greatest attributes as a champion is a short memory. You make a mistake and you shake it off, and they did that. When they made a mistake they came back out and made up for it. “I’m very proud of them, they made it to the top eight in the state and that’s nothing to sneeze at. It was the first step towards the goal we set at the beginning of the season.” The Southern Regional at Mooresville will pit Noblesville against the host Pioneers and BNL against Franklin Central in the first round Saturday starting at 1 p.m. At the Northern Regional at Tippecanoe, Valparaiso takes on Tippecanoe Valley and Carroll (Fort Wayne) will clash with McCutcheon. The regional winners will meet for the state championship Oct. 19 at the Grand Park Sports Event Center in Westfield. “We don’t know much about Franklin Central other that they have beaten a couple of good teams already this year,” Branam said. “They had to get through Indian Creek and Warren Central to win their sectional. So they have already gone through some good teams.”
  10. Lots of kids out there for the Stars Something to build on Obviously on defense Stars can’t keep up. Offense hasn’t been too bad truthfully minus the 3 turnovers
  11. we can hear Gaddis on the BNL side 😂 Stars are giving effort that’s all you can ask 20-7 after 1
  12. Stars getting ripped (I’m just kidding) but a punt was fumbled and returned for a TD by Stars but a fumble cannot be advanced evidently in High School. I wanted to say Stars had lead but before they changed the call. Now East leads 7-0 but it was fun for a minute.
  13. Columbus East at BNL Floyd Central at Jennings County Jeffersonville at Madison Seymour at New Albany
  14. So what spaceship came and abducted the Floyd Fans? 😂😂😂😂 I am mostly kidding...
  15. Stars lose 49-21 I was proud of these kids tonight. BNL has lost 9 kids to injury and not minor ones. Playing several freshmen moving forward...thankful for a great and positive coaching staff.
  16. Stars came back to tie it at 14 Trailing 28-14 at half and play with a lot of heart.
  17. Stars losing to Terre Haute South 14-0 after first quarter. Justice Woods suffered a significant injury it appears. Don’t want to speculate but feel for the kid. The one thing this team had to have his year was to stay away from injuries. 3 of our 5 captains now out for either the season or at least most of the rest of it. Boys are battling tough though
  18. Bloomington North over New Albany Brownstown Central over Seymour Columbus East over Floyd Central Cathedral over Jeffersonville Jennings County over Connersville Madison over Mitchell Terre Haute South over BNL
  19. In fairness BNL would most likely had won a sectional the last two seasons had we been able to keep Columbus East down in 4A 😀
  20. We had a bball player transfer mid season last year on a Monday and was signed off on. He practiced Tuesday and could have played against us that friday but didn't. That's the first id ever heard but I think sometimes its allowed if both schools sign off and the transfer is what's best for the kid (living situation, moving in with other parent etc) A fine line there no doubt and if it’s postseason I’m sure it would not be allowed but in high school sports it should always be about what’s best for the kid.
  21. Mid-Season update... having seen half the conference play at this juncture and reading on each team as the season has progressed I offer this 😀 East is East and I truly believe they will make some noise come playoff time in 6A Floyd seems to be the second best team in the conference but I don't think they are head and shoulders above anyone. Everyone else throw into a big mixing bowl. From the eye test Seymour was way overrated playing the type of schedule BNL played for several years and rolling out 4-0 against way below average competition. That's not all bad when you are rebuilding your program. BNL played South Dearborn for a few years and an IPS school so I get it. But they were not the better team last night on the field vs. BNL which was by far the best team they had played this season. They could have very well beaten the Stars but BNL was the better team. BNL players hopefully believes after last night that they can compete for and win the Sectional which they can. This is a team that has been severely affected by injuries and took some shots again last night injury wise. As I've said in this forum the only problem has been heart and effort. Outside of Gaddis there is no other team in the HHC that has a better coach and if the locals can stay on course this year and next year in 2 years and going forward BNL will have gotten to where they need to be to compete year in and year out in 5A. Madison was absolutely a gut check and an embarrassing loss (that's to not in anyway minimize Madison) those boys gave 110% and played with heart and emotion when BNL let them hang around kudos to their coach and players for that but they are in no way close to BNL or even Jennings County for that matter speed and talent wise but I sure hope the best for Madison they deserve success I hope they continue to put in the work to improve. I do feel that New Albany with a great sophomore class can continue to improve and pull off a win or two and compete for the section title they are in as the season progresses. Jeffersonville remains a head scratcher for me as they have the speed and ability to compete. I thought they were improving effort and discipline wise under Glesing and for the conference sake I was sad to see him leave. With how BNL had played their first two games offensively I was nervous going up against JC they were much better than Madison I thought after watching the two teams play in back to back weeks. So after East & Floyd I don't know how you'd rank the rest of the conference I have my opinions but since this is a fact base thread I'll wait to see how others rank it halfway through 😂
