  1. Week # 6 in the N.I.C.

The NIC is stuck on a four year cycle no matter what. I believe this is year 3 currently. Once that is up there will be new enrollment numbers. I can tell you for certain that NP and Clay will swap positions by then as Clay's enrollment has dropped severely and I am guessing NP is only going up and if you keep the North at 6 and the south at 7 then those two would just flip flop. Then based on enrollment alone Riley and St. Joe would flip flop as well. It is my understanding that St. Joe voluntarily stayed in the north even though their rightful place was in the south based on enrollment. IF all parties stay in the NIC then it would be interesting to see if there will be any realignment moving forward. I think there are some strong cases for this discussion.
  2. Week # 6 in the N.I.C.

Washington freshman have only played one game because only New Prairie has had a team so far. Obviously they are 0-1. They will play Riley this week but JG does not have a team and I am not sure about Bremen. Adams has a team and I am sure Marian does so they only have 2-3 games left. Kind of sad. Also I could not agree more about NP. I know they wanted to stay with the other former NSC schools but they are getting nothing from playing these teams and it will not help them when they get to the playoffs. Just one man's opinion. Clay and NP should just flip flop.
  3. NLC 2017

Since the 2001 season Northridge is 2-14 vs Plymouth. Last year's win was at home and the win in 2001 was at Plymouth.
  4. NIC Week 2

Two traditionally hard nosed teams duking it out. Sometimes I wish I wasn't coaching so I could go to games and watch. It was actually kind of nice to go to a few games last week. I was at the Northridge Adams game for the second half. LOVED the NR helmets! You guys have a good looking team this year. Good luck the rest of the way!
  5. NIC Week 2

I think you will be waiting a few weeks to see if Adams is for real. They have a pretty tall order Saturday afternoon vs. Notre Dame. Based on the clips I have seen from them they are a SOLID team and play in the Chicago Catholic League which is no slouch. When they hit conference play we will learn a bit more about Adams I think. Good luck to all tonight! Another great night for high school football as far as weather is concerned! Go Panthers!
  6. NIC Week 2

Definitely missed that one! I lose track of the news once practice starts. Wonder what happened. Thanks Kinight82!
  7. NIC Week 2

Torres went to IMG Academy in Florida. http://www.southbendtribune.com/sports/high_school/anthony-torres-leaves-penn-for-intriguing-football-opportunity-at-florida/article_ce5be108-6764-11e7-a062-1f5becd717cd.html
  8. NIC Week 2

A donor decided they wanted to name the ticket center after Mr. Beehler. When you write the check you can name it whatever you want. Take a stroll around ND campus sometime. Outside of the gates to get into the stadium it is a lot easier to find buildings named after the families of donors than it is great football coaches. There are so many buildings named after Frank Eck it gets confusing! Heck the three new buildings ATTACHED to the stadium are named after donors! Not a new practice. My guess is it would take a donation by the Geesman family or an "anonymous donor" to WANT to name something after him. https://penn.phmschools.org/news/aug-2017/new-ticket-center-penn’s-tcu-freed-field-be-named-after-larry-beehler
  9. NIC Week 2

Freed Field was constructed in 1958 and named for former Penn Twp. Trustee Vernon Freed. https://penn.phmschools.org/football-tcu-freed-field
  10. NIC Week 2

They put up some major offensive numbers and I believe gave up the same. Hope Bremen is built for a shoot out!
  11. NIC Week 2

Yes it is a home game for Washington so it is School Field
  12. NLC 2017

Adams is very young. Graduated 30+ seniors last year. They will take their lumps but will always be explosive. I have a feeling they will get better as the year goes on.
  13. NIC 2017 - What lies ahead

    Go where the money is.
  14. NIC 2017 - What lies ahead

There is a new AD at Clay because Joe Toth resigned in January. There will be a new AD at Riley because Marie Doan resigned in June (absolutely nothing to do with all the drama at Riley. It was her own decision). The AD at Adams, Bill Groves, is going no where. The AD at Washington, Garland Hudson, is going nowhere. No one was removed from their duties! As far as basketball we all know what happened at Riley. Washington still has their coach. Clay still has their coach. Adams position has been posted.
  15. NIC 2017 - What lies ahead

The Cleveland Browns Head Coach makes $3.5 million. We are all severely underpaid.
