  1. Unfortunately, sometimes the top 32 teams in the ratings aren't split evenly between north and south.
  2. However, in 3A North you could have a four team district of Brebeuf, Chatard, Guerin, and Ritter. Non-P/P fans would love that! 3A North #1 West Lafayette vs #16 Hanover Central #8 Guerin Catholic vs #9 Knox #5 Andrean vs #12 Garrett #4 Luers vs #13 Southmont #6 Chatard vs #11 Jimtown #3 FW Concordia vs #14 West Noble #7 Ritter vs #10 Mishawaka Marian #2 Brebeuf vs #15 Twin Lakes
  3. One nice thing about the 1-16 North/South format is that you would get to play a wider variety of teams in the playoffs. I imagine in a 4 district system, you would see the same teams in the early rounds of the playoffs most years.
  4. 3A South #1 Gibson Southern vs #16 Greensburg #8 Sullivan vs #9 Tri-West #5 North Harrison vs #12 Heritage Hills #4 Lawrenceburg vs #13 Salem #6 Brownstown Central vs #11 Monrovia #3 Evansville Memorial vs #14 South Vermilion #7 Vincennes Lincoln vs #10 Batesville #2 Danville vs #15 Indian Creek District 1 #1 Gibson Southern vs. #4 Heritage Hills #2 Evansville Memorial vs. #3 Vincennes Lincoln District 2 #1 Danville vs. #4 South Vermillion #2 Sullivan vs. #3 Tri-West District 3 #1 North Harrison vs. #4 Indian Creek #2 Brownstown Central vs. #3 Monrovia District 4 #1 Lawrenceburg vs. #4 Greensburg #2 Batesville vs. #3 Salem Then, after the district round is over, re-seed the ‘Regionals’ based on the 1-16 format above. So, if all the top seeds won their district, the regional would look like this: Regional (Neutral Sites) #1 Gibson Southern vs. #4 North Harrison #2 Danville vs. #3 Lawrenceburg Thus, regular season performance is rewarded, since geographically grouping teams into districts can concentrate stronger/weaker teams.
  5. I think going with the 4 'districts' is the best way to eliminate substantial travel in the early rounds. Districts could still be seeded 1-4. While Reitz and Central would still be in the same district, they wouldn't meet until at the district final. Also, round 3 and beyond games being at neutral sites helps to reduce travel. Under this scenario, the most travel a team would be looking at is a 3-4 hour trip to Indy for the state finals.
  6. Memorial awaits. Nice win for the Titans tonight! Gutted it out against a tough team.
  7. WBDC 101 Country has the Southridge broadcast.
  8. Colonels held on tight! Good test for Gibson Southern. Should be a great game vs. Memorial in the sectional.
  9. PAC 2017

Did Gibson Southern have any luck slowing down Central's running game?
  10. SIAC 2016

How's the SIAC looking this year? Sounds like Castle and Bosse should be at the top. Does Reitz have players coming up to replace what they've lost the past couple years?
  11. PAC Conference 2016, 17

Chandler McKee has played a lot of minutes and contributed since he was a freshman, so there should be at least one solid guard there. I believe Nic Maurer from football also played a lot of the basketball squad last year.
  12. PAC Conference 2016, 17

Sure would be nice to see Gibson Southern get back to regularly competing for PAC and sectional titles. Those late 90s, early 2000's teams were a lot of fun to watch.
  13. Jasper and Gibson Southern could fit the SIAC. I think both could be competitive in most if not all sports.
  14. Divisions could look something like this: Division 1: Gibson Southern Jasper Southridge Heritage Hills Vincennes Lincoln Mt. Carmel Boonville Princeton Division 2: Forest Park Tell City Pike Central North Posey South Spencer Washington Mt. Vernon
