  1. Wabash College kicks off their season tonight against a senior-laden Centre squad that went 22-6 last season. Wabash starts the year ranked #14 in the country and were in a three way bunch at the top of the NCAC coaches poll. Wittenberg received 91 points, Wabash got 90, and Wooster grabbed 89 points. Should be a dogfight this year at the top of the conference. Here is my preseason synopsis (all but a few members of the team are Indiana kids too!): Returning starters: G: Jack Davidson, JR., 25.1 PPG - 26 GS G: Connor Rotterman, JR. 7.3 PPG - 15 GS (stopped starting at midyear) G: Tyler Watson, So. 9.4 PPG - 11 GS (started to start at midyear) F: Alex Eberhard, Sr. 6.7 PPG - 27 GS F: Harry Hallstrom, Sr. 12.6 PPG - 26 GS W: Kellen Schrieber, So. 8.9 PPG - 5 GS (started in place of injuries) Wabash averaged 86.2 points a game last year and only lose 8.7 PPG to graduation/transfers. Senior wing Ben Stachowski started 24 games and scored 3.8 points a game Senior post Logan White played in 26 games scoring 2.1 a game Sophomore Conner Brens played in 25 games scoring 1.9 a game (not playing) Freshman Niah Williamson played in 4 games scoring 0.8 a game (transfer, I believe for football) The starting 5 will likely be PG: Jack Davidson - JR SG: Tyler Watson - SO SF: Kellen Schreiber - SO PF: Alex Eberhard - SR 😄 Harry Hallstrom - SR First couple guys off the bench will likely be (freshmen below could change it): Connor Rotterman - JR, Jayden Edwards - SO, Colten Garland - SR, Jack Hegwood - SO Players who can easily come off the bench but not likely in the top 9 are: Matt Chinn - JR, Parker Manges - SR All of the above is based off of last year. HOWEVER Wabash has a very, very good freshman class and I would not be surprised in the least to see these first two freshmen play minutes. They all were highly sought after among various levels. Justin Hensley - 6'4 G Ahmoni Jones - 6'4 G/W Reis Thomas - 6'3 W/F (football player so he'll be working his way in) Cam Chadd - 6'2 G (transfer in, sophomore) They also have as incoming freshmen who likely won't play a ton: Jeremy Norvell - 5'10 G Ty Bever - 5'11 G Nate Butts - 5'9 G Tristan Bufkin - 6'5 F Trey Waddups - 6'1 G (I believe is a sophomore who didn't play last season) This is going to be a team that plays very fast as they only have one true post player. They have a ton of guys who can slide down and play the five, however. Going to be a great year in Crawfordsville.
  2. Wabash was voted the top team in the NCAC preseason poll and starts the year ranked #23 nationally. Should be a really good year. There was talk of Oliver Page potentially taking a medical redshirt and being back this year...he is not BUT Ike James will be, so he has two years left. That is huge.
  3. Good thing you said "The Ohio State"...I would have been confused as to which one.
  4. You forgot to mention that Oliver Page might be back as well. Medical redshirt just like Ike...haven't heard if he is going to do that yet though.
  5. I work for Prep Hoops, so it is my job. I have seen all of them in person but one. I have seen most of them twice. That team I haven't seen, I have watched four games of tape on. So I've spent quite a lot of time looking at these teams. More than that, I have seen them all play for years in AAU so I know their individual strengths, weaknesses, etc.
  6. Thanks for the comment...I think the top 4 in 4A have separated themselves, and then it's a 8-10 team race for 5-10. In 1A, it's easily going to be Blackhawk vs. BR in the finals. But LCC and University are behind them by a little margin...I think those four are easily the top 4. Then everyone behind is very distant.
  7. Discussion is welcomed. https://twitter.com/MasonHAsher/status/1087136580261892097?s=20
  8. I have said all year it'll be Carmel or LC. Carmel because they play the same style and LC because they are the most talented team in the state.
  9. It won't surprise me to see Brown bottled up. Frankton usually takes away the best teams scorer and makes others do the work. I think Frankton will take this by 10-15. Too much talent there and Blackford hasn't really proven to win against good teams.
  10. Agreed. I just don't think that 5'10 running backs who aren't known as power guys hold up in P5.
  11. I think it will be a very interesting season, to say the least. Hopefully Sindelar can come in and play well but I also wouldn't put it past Brohm to name Plummer or Sipe QB. I don't think this is the year for us, although I can see it. Defense will be really young, especially the secondary so teams might be able to kill us there. I still see 8-9 wins and probably a confusing loss.
  12. Not sure if many people follow Wabash College football. Think they have a lot of good things coming back and should be an NCAC contender, if not the front runner.
  13. Really interesting stuff here. Basketball will affected by this in a crazy way.
  14. I think Linton should run away with it. Like Taps said, ND's schedule isn't very good. Linton is better in all aspects I think and I see a 15-20 point win.
