  1. Sectional 63

I've been a supporter of Coach Chezem and I've thought he was one of the better coaches in the area. However, reason 1, 2, and 4 have made my support dwindle along with the being told he has absolutely nothing to do with the lower grades doesn't run camps/clinics for the little kids. I don't think he personally is in it for the long haul.
  2. Sectional 63

Loogootee wanted to play keep away in the fourth quarter up 12 and Loogootee isn't very good at it. If I remember correctly I believe Loogootee had five turnovers that lead to a score in a row. Had a one and one down two with 1.0 on the clock missed the backend.
  3. Sectional 63

What a way to blow a game.
  4. Sectional 63

Well I nailed my prediction for Friday night let's see if I can do it for Saturday. For the championship game I'm torn. Barr-Reeve has won two close games earlier in the season and my head says to go with the Viking, but my heart says Loogootee. So I'm going with the Lions by five in regulation.
  5. Sectional 63

Word on the street is Chezem left a senior off the sectional roster. While he has been hurt and not played all year it is still a jerk thing to do in my opinion. Coach Chezem sure isn't making any friends around these parts. On to the games. I think Orleans will keep it close through the majority of the game, but I see Barr-Reeve pulling the win out. Loogootee has been up and down all year and it would not surprise me to see them lose to Rivet. With that being said I think the Lions pull out an ugly game and move on to Saturday.
  6. Sectional 63

Great draw for the Lions. Can Shoals/Orleans pull the big upset? Doubtful be we will see.
  7. 1A Sectional 57

What a terrible sectional, Congrats Bloomfield on your win.
  8. North Davies...

    Broke the rules, what's new...
  9. Sectional 63

I disagree that Dearwester is a better option than Pendley. Pendley doesn't turn the ball over like Dearwester, Pendley also plays way better defense, and I don't think 1 for 8 behind the arc is good shooting.
  10. Sectional 63

After the Orleans Loogootee game last night I'm even more excited about the addition of Orleans to the sectional. Now on to Loogootee, I really like Pendley getting the start as I feel he is the second best guard on the team behind Waggoner. The Harder kid got some good minutes and I would also like to see more of him and less of the junior guards. Silas Bauer is playing far beyond what I thought he would as a freshman. As for Orleans they played really physical, I think they just need to get some offensive production from a third player and they will be a handful.
  11. Sectional 63

I think Shoals wanted to hang a banner after beating Loogootee earlier in the season and forgot they had more games left. They have fell off the radar big time which isn't unexpected, I have been trying to tell people I didn't think they were any good. With Loogootee it is my opinion they play better when the Dearwester kid isn't on the floor so I think it was good to get Harder and Pendley a little more playing time over this past weekend. It should be a good week of basketball at JBA.
  12. N.D VS LOOGOOTEE

I'll take the Lions being at home, having momentum, and the Cougars possibly without their big guy it looks to be Loogootee's game to lose.
  13. In an attempt to get a little more action on this side of the board that doesn't involve taking about coaching achievements I figured I would post a game thread. Loogootee makes the trip to the hatchet house on Friday night, both teams are struggling. However, Washington has lost to some pretty good teams in my opinion while Loogootee has looked terrible on the road. So who you got? I'm thinking it will be another bad night for the Lions.
  14. Top 5 Coaches in Southern Indiana

Possibly. But the noise I have seen/heard have been from people I like to call *Deleted*s.
  15. Top 5 Coaches in Southern Indiana

So this thread got me thinking about who I think are the top five coaches in the basketball I pay attention to, which is the Blue Chip and sectionals 63 and 47. 1. Bryan Hughes-Barr-Reeve 2. Tom Bradley-Orleans 3. Kent Chezem-Loogootee 4. Brent Dalrymple-North Daviess 5. Joey Hart-Linton
