  1. 1A Regional: LaVille at Pioneer

Pioneer is a 1A New Prairie. You know what they are going to do, but how do you stop it. Then you have to worry about how to score on them! Tough tough task but can never say never! LaVille is a better team than they were in the third game of the season, I hope they can move the ball offensively, hit on some play plays, chew up some clock and win the turnover battle. Maybe have a special teams big play.
  2. Were those injuries sustained last night or were they coming into the game beat up? I have to admit, Tritons offense seemed out of sync but I was chalking it up to LaVilles defense...lol. Must of been a combo of both.
  3. LaVille pretty much dominated defensively but left way to many scoring opportunities on the field, especially in the first half. Halftime score was 3-0 Lancers. Triton kept to their game and eventually broke off a big play to take the lead in the 3rd. After an interception by LaVille and returned to Tritons 30 yard line, LaVille punched it in to regain the lead 10-7. Triton drove into scoring range with a little over 2:00 mns left. Triton attempted to tie the game with a FG but it went wide left. LaVille was attempting to run the clock but fumbled on a 3rd down giving Triton another opportunity from LaVille’s 17. Triton failed on 3 attempts and lined up for another field goal attempt. LV called a timeout to ice the kicker. Triton came out and lined up for a field goal attempt but faked it and the pass dropped incomplete in the end zone. LV took a knee to end the drama and claim the sectional championship.
  4. LaVille 19, Culver 16 - Final 0-16 Culver at start of 4th qtr. LaVille scored 19 in 9 mins including the game winning FG by Figg with 20 seconds left.
  5. Knox beats Marian. With Glenn being their only common opponent, it should be a good game. But the edge goes to Knox and Marian seems to be limping in the post season. Knox will beat Marian pretty easily! Their defense is solid and with Marian struggling to score, I would venture to say this could be 3 score difference. Jimtown wns vs Peru. Identical 5-5 records but I gotta give the edge to the Jimmies with their SOS and being at home. Peru’s conference is weak, big edge to the Jimmies. This game could get ugly fast.
  6. Winamac @ Triton I think Warriors will play better football but in the end, they won’t have enough to get past Triton. Trojans 35-21 victory, they move on to sectional finals. And who will they play??? Culver @ LaVille Despite playing to a close 17-10 Lancer victory, 2 weeks ago, I think LaVille’s offense takes another step forward and wear the Cavs defense down and prevail 28-13
  7. I would like to see Penn and NP play...just for kicks.
  8. Are you being sarcastic here? One time in the history of the school. My statement was referencing football and basketball success. I also wasn’t saying they should dodge competition, just stating that their success in basketball and football came in 2A and since moving up, just haven’t had it.
  9. Yeah, Baseball has been the exception at 3A but Nud and company had a helluva track record in 2A too. That is one sport Glenn has a top notch coach in Nud and Gamble. I was talking more about football and basketball has had the lack of success since moving to 3A.
  10. HNAC Week 9

LaVille 17, Culver 10 - Great end of regular season win for the Lancers. LaVille Defense was stout as usual. Culvers first scoring drive, came after a weak hands to the QB helmet penalty kept their drive alive on a third down incompletion. That moved the ball into LaVille territory and allowed Culver to capitalize on it. The field goal Culver had came after I interception deep in LaVille territory. Score was 7-0 Culver at half. LaVille made some nice 2nd half adjustments and outscored Culver 17-3 the 2nd half. These two will more than likely see each other again if they both win their first round sectional games.
  11. Glenn needs to cap their enrollment and stay 2A. I believe there are enough out of district students attending JG to make it happen. They simply do not have the consistent depth and athletes to compete night in and night out against 3-4a schools. Anything they have won in sports happened when they were 2A or single class. They are just in a bad situation...there are great kids/athletes there, just not enough.
  12. HNAC Week8

LV defense was solid all night. Had a new look offense with Braxton Sauer at QB. He threw for 2 TD's to Jacob Good, had another picked off at the goal line by Judson or he would of had 3 on the night. He also ran for a nice chuck of yards. Freshman Andrew Dill scored on a nice run. Sophomore Kolby Watts scored and had a nice rushing night. Follow sophomore Robby Pope rounded out the scoring for the Lancers. Great effort overall and we'll see the Jays in cpl weeks at home first round of sectionals.
  13. They cancelled a JV game? What's the deal with that? 3A program shouldn't have to cancel games. Maybe freshman I could see but not JV. Hope you find someone to fill it!
