  3. Don’t think they want to travel on homecoming...
  4. If they cannot field a full varsity team and are that young, out of respect to their opponents they need to cancel their varsity schedule and play a JV season. This stinks for the seniors, but at the same time what about their opponents that will not be able to schedule an opponent on weeks notice. On Caston's away games the home schools will lose gate and concession revenue and the home players are robbed of a game. Caston's situation is unfortunate but they shouldn't be allowed to drag other teams down with them.
  5. Pioneer decided to move him to guard to toughen him up.
  6. I was surprised Triton didn't win their sectional last year. That should be another good battle again this year b/w Triton and Laville.
  7. Unfortunately, the school had to turn them down due to liability reasons...
  8. No use crying over it now though...
  9. 1a state championship this year Eastern green had 12 players on the field during a goal line situation. Pioneer coaches yelling at the refs with the sideline judge ignoring the warnings saying there was no way. Pioneer scored but could have potentially been a big deal.
  10. When your team is having success under center running option and then switch out to a 2x2 set that clearly isn’t the teams bread and butter that’s coaching. When you see a team in a terrible defensive set for the opponent they are facing that’s coaching. When you hear kids getting screamed at and belittled on the sideline when things aren’t going your way that is coaching. None of those things are caused by community, parents, etc.
  11. 1. Pioneer- teams won't stop them or move the ball on them consistently enough to beat them 2. Laville- Tough defensively, but will need to find some offense this year 3. Knox- 3A school should dominate most conference teams but lose good deal from last year. 4. Triton- offense keeps them in games, but poor defensive play keeps them in the middle of the pack. Should still compete for sectional title with Laville again. 5. Judson- Great team speed, questionable coaching 6. Culver- Lose some monsters up front and a great athlete in their QB from last year, but their coach always has them ready to play. 7. Winamac- Any inspirational coach talk for this year? Fell way short of the 8-1 or 7-2 season head coach was calling for last year. They have a long way to go if they want to push back into conference prominence 8. Caston- Will they even field a team this year?
  12. I'll be curious to see how teams like Carroll, Southwood and Sheridan rebound this year after losing some big time players to graduation. Also interested in how LCC's offensive and defensive schemes will be altered with new coach coming in.
  13. LCC has a new coach

I think Onken did a great job when he took over. Got the kids excited and into an offensive scheme that fit their players better IMO. Big loss for LCC during the Pioneer game was when they lost #24 to injury early on. Big questions for new staff is if they maintain the same defensive scheme or not, and also if they have the type of players to fit his offense.
