  1. Were you listening to the Dude's story Donnie? FTA:
  2. I looked up the property taxes for one house across the pond from CGHS. One house mind you, including homestead/supplemental exemption of $129,735.00 have a property tax of over $2650.00 per year. This is ONE house in ONE subdivision. These aren't even the nice houses. I tend to agree Coach Ellenwood, 900K is a drop in the bucket. 900K is one years tax bill for 340 of these houses, which amounts to what, 3-4 subdivisions? Not to mention the once house I looked at, after a quick scan of the neighborhood, that had an annual property tax bill of over 23K.
  3. That would be an issue between the property owners in Johnson County, more specifically the townships that encompass CG's school district and the CG School Board. Since I don't own property in the aforementioned area, not my concern.
  4. According to the article an elementary school project came in under budget. Approximately 900K and the school system elected to spend the money on lighted signs and the new jumbotron. It is my understanding that in Indiana, capital project funds don't come from the state, I don't pay taxes in Johnson County, none of my business what they do. Per the article, they have not decided on advertising yet, but it was a "discussion that would be had".
  5. New Field for New Pal

Never understood this concept, if true, isn't it going to make slow kids slower too?
  6. James Bragg is new HC at Floyd Central.

First of all, not sure why FC would need to compete with Indy schools in the 6A tournament when they're smack dab in the middle of 5A. I'm assuming by your calculations with the right hire they'd go up to 6A on the next count based on Tradition Factor? You're idea is to subjugate the education aspect of school to athletics? I agree, that is bothersome.
  7. James Bragg is new HC at Floyd Central.

C'mon man, don't let facts get in the way of DT justifying his opinion. JC has been in the same situation their last three hires.
  8. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

Fair enough Butter Bean, time will prove one of us has no clue what we’re talking about.
  9. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

I think SC and Charlestown both get mentioned based on their enrollment and expected growth in the near future. SC is still a pretty new program. I honestly dont see the point in all these off season dream conference scenarios. HHC is locked in as far as members for the foreseeable future.
  10. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

Playing one cellar dweller each year is a little different than lining up against much larger schools week after week. As I said earlier, trading Eastern Pekin, Clarksville, Scottsburg, etc., for Jeff, NA, BNL, etc. is not as easy as it seems on paper.
  11. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

I disagree, MSC is a pretty competitive conference across the board.
  12. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

Ehhh, you can't believe anything a Roncallite tells you anyway!
  13. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

My contact at Roncalli said it was a major upset.
  14. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

Apparently I was given some erroneous information. They were upset in the first round by a .500 Franklin team. NA was #1 when they were upset by Seymour.
