  1. Hoosier Hills Conference 2017

This is a touching tribute. Thank you for sharing!
  2. Trying having two high schools, two middle schools, and open enrollment in the same community.
  3. Team Camps

Yes, we have a very dedicated film crew. Rain, sleet, or snow our film crew our group is ready to go!! If this is what you are talking about?
  4. Team Camps

Bishop Dullaghan Team Camp @ Depauw Univ. has been good for our program.
  5. Current D1 Recruits: Offers/Verbals

Congrats to Columbus East RB Steven O'Neal who plans to play at Marshall Univ. this fall! Article was in Columbus Republic newspaper this morning. http://www.therepublic.com/2016/06/30/former_east_standout_headed_to_marshall/
  6. Current D1 Recruits: Offers/Verbals

    U. of Virginia has reeled in yet another commitment in the 2017 class. The newest pledge is Columbus (Ind.) Columbus East offensive lineman Harry Crider. The 6-foot-4, 260-pounder gave commitment to head coach Bronco Mendenhall just moments ago. . Crider, who can play guard or center, is the 10th member of the Wahoos’ 2017 class.
  7. Martinsville Artesians

A few years ago, their middle school programs( East & West) did not have enough players to field two middle school football teams. They have combined their middle school programs into one team. Their 8th grade team is very strong this year and was last year too...
  8. Straight from New Pal's media release for this Friday's game: Pronunciation guide -New Palestine “New pal-uh-STEEN”
  9. I was asked this question by local radio guy today: How do pronounce New "Palestine"? STEIN or STEEN?
  10. * Sectional Championship Scores *

Columbus East down 3-0 at East Central, late 1st quarter.
  11. Hoosier Hills Conference 2014

As an HHC fan, I hope all the seniors have great games this evening and everyone stays healthy for their first sectional games. Good luck to all and let the fun begin....
  12. Hoosier Hills Conference 2014

Safe travels for all of our HHC teams tonight....looks like the cold, rainy stuff starts to head into the 812 area around 9ish....please be safe driving in the rain and dress warmly!
  13. Columbus East @ New Albany

The idea of East leaving the HHC does not factor well for other sports @ CEHS. The conference has two 6A schools, 3 5A schools, and 3 4A schools. 5 teams have a larger school population than East and compete at the 5A/6A level. The HHC overall in other men's and women's sports are competitive. HHC men's basketball, wrestling, track have good teams and compete well. Women's volleyball and basketball very competitive in the HHC. The old Star trek saying..."The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few" applies to the HHC. East football has accomplished one(sorry-2 as noted below by another poster) state championship through this conference and was beat by the eventual state champ in every other semi-final game they've played in. Changing conferences wasn't going to change any of those semi-final football outcomes....
  14. Some more from the HCC: Columbus East's Dalton Bateman- Franklin & Paul Baker- Trine Univ.
  15. HHC: Columbus East's Alex Cowan, Evan Kuhn, & Brock Patterson playing at St. Francis next year. East's J.T. Voelker playing at Marian next year. More info to come...
