  1. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

Dusty Kiel was on the radio down here this morning. He said Columbus East has dominated because the kids grow up seeing that and the Seniors on every team are always leaders and the underclassmen always buy in. He said the culture is the biggest reason. He said it's going to take a Jeff, Floyd Central or New Albany that has a group of kids motivated to beat them. He thinks HHC teams are scared of East. He saw it 1st hand.
  2. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

David Miller was the guy I wanted Floyd to hire. It would make sense to hire an Asst from a program that continuously dominates your conference. Gaddis is great. No doubt. But so is his staff.
  3. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

I dont take it personal. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I just think Jeff is going to be really good if those kids buy in. It wont be this season. But down the road I can see it.
  4. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

Have you seen the coaches they've had? They hired the right guy to clean that mess up.
  5. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

Good as in "beat Columbus East." At least that's my opinion. Jeff is a sleeping giant. Ridiculous amounts of athletes.
  6. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

Floyd plays Male every year. We are like 1-7 against them and show 0 signs of turning that around. I hate it.
  7. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

Jeff will be really good in a few years.
  8. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

I wasn't meaning to turn this thread. I just think a lot of coach Glesing but I guess he'll never be Bob Gaddis.
  9. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

He absolutely is the 2nd best coach in this conference. East has bigger and more talented players than we do. That's because that is a football town and you guys typically dont have success in anything else. That's different here where we win HHC and Sectional Championships in every sport except football.
  10. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

Floyd wins the HHC powerlifting competition about every year. Our kids just havent been large weight around here. They did just hire a S&C coach so I'm interested to see what that does. And no offense, but we havent had guys like Harry Crider down here.
  11. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

We have 210 lb lineman vs your 285 lb lineman.
  12. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

You guys are loaded with talent. Gaddis is a really good coach, but it's not all him.
  13. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

Gaddis is the better coach but it's not a wide margin. Glesing is the best coach in Southeast Indiana. That's just my opinion. I wont argue with this. But they haven't done anything in 20 years except the 2 years Glesing was there.
  14. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

I've been told that the kids replacing the graduated kids from FC are more talented than the guys they are replacing. They're bigger too. They have some size coming. Trace Willman will almost certainly be the QB and was very good as the JV QB last season. New offense? Do we even know what they're going to use? I've been told Pro-Style. But I'm not positive about that. I think he just meant hes going to try to build them up into a contender. The guy is a winner. If he coached Columbus East, he would have the same success that Gaddis has. He took over 3 pathetic, dumpster fire programs at Laville, Clarksville, and Floyd Central. And turned them all around overnight. Him at Jeffersonville could bear a ton of fruit. They are the most athletic school in the conference.
  15. Hoosier Hills Conference 2018

I heard Brian Glesing on the radio down here this morning. He had some interesting stuff to say, especially about the HHC. 1. He said he took the JHS job because he likes rebuilding projects and its 5 minutes from his house. 2. He said he has to take it slow teaching fundamentals to his new team. Going to be a work in progress. 3. He said East will repeat in the HHC. He said they are changing their offense to something we haven't seen there. 4. This was interesting to me. He said Floyd Central might be the 2nd best team in the conference. He said he left a ton of good players behind. 5. He said BNL has a really good team back, will contend for 2nd, and he likes coach Weber. 6. He said New Albany will be up there. 7. He said that he has plans for Jeff to compete for the HHC and Sectional crown in a few years.
