  1. Congratulations to Conner Glon from Mishawaka Marian. Great achievement for this young man. He is the son of Head Coach Reggie Glon and his wife Rachel. I know they are very prod of their youngest son, Conner. Great job Conner. Keep up the great work. Coach Killilea
  2. NIC Football 2016

Congratulations to Steve Ravotto. I think this is a very good decision. Steve is a true Marian Guy and like Coach Glon said, he gets it. I know there were some other former Knights who had expressed interest in this position and I am sure they would have been good choices as well. Steve brings a wealth of experience in athletics and administration. I wish him all the best in this new adventure. As for Coach Glon, congratulations on a job well done. You have weathered numerous storms. Received more criticism than you deserved from people who have no clue and never enough credit from those who should have had a clue. Marian Athletics returned to relevance under your watch and no one can argue that. Congratulations on a great run my friend. Now get back to the film run and get those boys ready for the next challenge. Once a Knight, Always a Knight!
  3. The New N.I.C. Week # 1

Not sure who BamBam89 is, but I can guarantee whatever coaches at Marian you talked to will probably be getting a good talking to from Coach Glon. If you know anything about the way Coach Glon runs his program and how he likes to have his program represented, this is not the way. Games are not won or loss by smack talking Dads on the internet. The only thing that matters is what happens between the lines. Both New Prairie and Jimtown are great programs. THey have gotten the best of the Knights the last times the two teams played eachother. Until Marian beats them on the field, it is their division to take. Lightning was not the reason Marian lost. Execution, effort, and tackling was the reason. You ask Coach Glon, and that is what he would say. BamBam89, you have every right to say what you want, but if you are a true Knight, shut your mouth and respect what Coach Glon has established and built over 20 plus years. Respect all opponents, fear none. Good Luck to all Memebers of the NIC (both new and old). I wish all of you the best this season. Go Knights!
  4. Marian had a number of injuries. I believe there were at least five starters out. Two big ones were the starting QB/leading rusher and starting MLB/leading tackler. A number of other starters were playing through injuries as well. The knights were very young, especially on both lines. Played a lot of sophomores. Schedule and injuries caught up with them. The future is bright. The best thing about sophomores is that they become juniors. I am positive that Coach Glon and the rest of the staff will have the knights working hard this off season. We went through similar seasons when I coached there and bounced back the following year. If you know Coach Glon, this off season will be intense.
  5. N.I.C. Talk for Week # 6

Football is not played in the gym. Talk to the basketball alumni about that. The field rental "donation" was used to clean up the mess you guys always made in the parking lots after your tailgates and to kill the moles on the field. Have not had any mole issues since you got your own field. Haha.
  6. N.I.C. Talk for Week # 6

Would you be interested in making a donation? I can give you the address. FYI, the light bulbs are not the problem. They have been changed at least 3 times this year. It is old and has been struck by lightning to many times in the past. Plans are being worked on to replace the current scoreboard.
