Fairfield just couldn't get it in theendzone tonight...lost 7 to 0 to a big and athletic Niles team. (4A to 5A equivalent)  I love the Falcon' s tough schedule, but it comes with some lumps.

Central Noble at Fremont‡, 7 pm  Fremont continues thier winless streak losing 49-0
Churubusco at Prairie Heights‡, 7 pm I feel bad for PH. Buscos defense is dominate. 56-0 win for the mighty Eagles
Garrett at Eastside, 7 pm Game of the week. Eastsides defense held busco to 28 pts but gave up over 300 yards on the ground last week. This game could go either way. I say Eastside 20-17
Lakeland at Angola‡, 7 pm  Angola the class of the big school division. Angola rolls to a 42-12 win
West Noble at Fairfield‡, 7 pm  the battle of US 33. I'm gonna take Fairfield but wouldn't be surprised to see West Noble win either. 21-17

My picks minus the FF game...

Central Noble 42   Fremont 0:  CN is big and physical up front.  They are going to have a decent year.

Churubusco 63  PH  0:  Unfortunately for PH, these are two very different programs that have been going 2 very different directions.  I have a feeling this one will be over quickly with subs in the 3rd and 4th quarters.

Garrett 14   Eastside 7............this will be a close one....Garrett's size up front will wear down the blazers by the end.  The Railroaders score late to win it.  (I believe that Eastside has won 3 out of the last 4)

Lakeland 13  Angola 56:  This one might be closer than predicted, but I don't think that Angola is surprising anyone.  We all knew that they would be good this year....and they will probably be good for the next 4 to 5 years as well.  Something is in the water in Angola....something has changed, and as an outsider looking in, I see kids learning good football skills at a young age....and I see numbers up in classes.  Recipe for success.

Good luck to all teams....Fairfield might be healthy this Friday. (1st time since the Goshen game)....but I really am not sure.  Once everyone is back in place, we have solid starting group.  Stay healthy all!

Nice!  I just feel like you are located out that way, which is why I guessed that one.  I promise I am not stalking!

From an article I read last night, sounds like the Falcons had to use the bus/port a potty for the locker room....it's too bad because I wish more schools would play a game a year against an out of state foe.  I believe Fairfield/Niles contract is now up if I recall correctly?

@Fairfield02 So with this new Falcon offense I gotta know, did Tom and your favorite play Guard Dump survive and make the new playbook?

Great job WN...the blocked punt got them in field position for their only td.  I cannot wait until Fairfield is 100%...we are so close.

Let's just say the terminology has remained pretty much the same...so yes!

Angola @ Fairfield 7pm    Angola is really good...they go on the road and win 42-6

Central Noble @ Lakeland 7pm Lakeland has fallen on hard times. Central Noble goes on the road and wins in Laker land 28-12

Eastside @ Prairie Hts 7pm  The dreadful season continues for the Panthers. Eastside rolls 56-0

Fremont @ Churubusco 7pm Fremont hasn't beaten busco since 2001. that trend continues with a Busco 56-6 win

West Noble @ Garrett 7pm   Garrett looks good one week, then not so good the next. West Noble scored the only TD last week in a win over Fairfield. I'll take Garrett at home 14-13

My picks minus the Fairfield game...

Central Noble 28 Lakeland 21....the Cougars have a nice thing going.

Eastside 56 PH 0.....PH needs to make some big adjustments.

Fremont 0 Churubusco 63...there is a big difference between these two teams.

West Noble 28 Garrett 13....Garrett comes back to reality.

Fairfield....by the way....is REALLY banged up.  This season might go down as "the plague".

Sectional 19 is up for grabs for any of the teams outside of Dekalb/Wawasee in my opinion.  Huge NLC/Sectional 19 matchup this Friday in Middlebury between Northridge/Northwood, can't wait!

I'm excited to see how that NR/NW game turns out too. Big motivation on both sides and two different approaches. Power vs. Speed. That will be a fun one, enjoy and good luck.
