Do we need to really look into how CYO is running the football league? Thoughts anyone?

They favor the North and South Deanery schools. The West and East are fading. CYO wants to have schools combine in their Deanery, which I think is lead by two or three people. If that is the case, then let's make sure schools and kids stay in their Deanery or play for their schools.

St. Lawrence is north, which I understand that.

I heard there are two kids from St.  Malachy, that don't play for St. Michaels and go play for a North Deanery school.

If Holy Cross is an East Deanery school why are they combined with Notre Dame  Academy, which I heard is a South Deanery school now. Isn't that school/field at 38th and Emerson??? Still a bit fuzzy about that one.

Last one still puzzles me, a kid is playing at St. Louie, but goes to OL Grace. Doesn't Grace have a combine team with SMG? I thought you had to play for your school???  (Cadet)

Holy Cross is a Notre Dame ACE Academy.   Southside schools have combined too.  St Mark/St Roch/Holy Name play under South Central name.   St Rose/OLG/ Ss. Francis and Clare play under Johnson County Catholics.    I think CYO rules state you can play for a neighboring parish if a sport is not offered at your parish.

Hmm. When you commenced your premise, it took me a moment to realize you were offering commentary about the Indianapolis/Marion County CYO Football League. Up here in the Northeastern corner of the state, there is also CYO Football, which is headquartered in Fort Wayne. South Bend/Mishawaka has something almost identical. There it is the ICCL (Inter City Catholic League), which encompasses the South Bend, and Mishawaka Schools. The Tournament Champions and second place teams play each other for the Fort Wayne-South Bend Diocesan Championship and third place as part of the post season finale.

Anyone hear how many Cadet teams will be playing this year?  South Deanery sounds like 5 teams:

St Jude

St Barnabas

Nativity

South Central

Johnson Co. Catholics

St Luke has to have a team, right?

Sorry to ask stupid questions, but who is MTCA?

CTK combining with SLDM or with other schools?

There are currently 17 cadet teams registered, hopefully 18 if MTCA( Mother Theodore Catholic Academy).

I am going to likely embarrass myself by asking this, but, Guru - where is MTCA?
