Covington at Seeger.  - Yep..that's right..I picked Covington

Riverton Parke at North Vermillion.  - Congrats on your wind last week RP...but I think North Vermillion will pour it on this week.

Rockville at Turkey Run. - Well..i say Rockville in the battle of the future Covered Bridge Wolves (I have no idea their new team or school name)

South Vermillion at Sullivan.  -  I say Sullivan

Attica at Fountain Central.   FC plays flat like they did in the third quarter last week and this will go the other way, play hot the whole time, it will be close, but FC will win.  In my Biased opinion.

My picks:

Covington 34-18: Seeger has a long way to grow before they can be contenders again. Taken me 4 games to see that but I do. Same story as all season: close at the half, Covington starts pulling away late in the 3rd quarter....

North 42-13: congrats RP on your first win ever over Seeger and first win of the season. Maybe the tides are starting to turn. But North has some demons to exercise after last Friday...

Turkey Run 14-6: a man can dream, can't he?

Sullivan 27-14: could be closer but South could be a year away before this game gets harder to pick...

Attica 34-27: Attica wins the battle but they won't win the war if these 2 meet in the post season. Comes down to the last possession in Veederstucky....

Covington by a wide margin.

North V pours it on.

Rockville

Sullivan

Fountain Central. By a couple tds. Mustang D will be the difference here.

Attica brings the states highest scoring offense thus far vs fountain centrals 8th best scoring defense in the state thus far in the season. Neither team has played a tough schedule but so far I think easy the edge goes to FC with wins over a pretty decent southmont and covington team.

Covington at Seeger - I just don't think Seeger can execute on offense enough to win this one 32-13

Riverton Parke at North Vermillion - Homecoming week victory for the Falcons 48-13

Rockville at Turkey Run - Here is to hoping that the Warriors can pull this one off 28-26

South Vermillion at Sullivan - Arrows bring too much to the table for SV to handle 42-20

Attica at Fountain Central - I look for Attica to put some points on the board, but not enough to leave Veedertucky with a win 34-26

Covington over Seeger  42-6  covington pull away early and dont look back

NV over Riverton let's say 58-14. NV rolls over them after a bad loss last week to a great Linton team.

Turkey Run over Rockville 28-7 Looks like Rockville lost some starting players and being the last game between the 2  TR deserves the win

Sullivan takes another away from a very improved South Vermillion 42-14

And I would say the game of the week it will be Attica over the Mustangs in a close one 35-21 Atticas stats just look more impressive.

I will say one thing about NV game last Friday. The game was close till half the Linton broke away and didn't look back.  NV had a hell of a first half against Linton.

Do you think Attica's stats may be inflated somewhat?

Wouldn't consider Covington to be decent.  Attica is decent.  North Vermillion & FC are better than average 1A teams.....guess you could call them "good" teams.  The conference is very down.    RP is going to win 3 games this year, which I think is great for them.  Also, speaks to how bad the conference is this year.

Come on, PSV, you follow the WRC well enough that you can determine that one yourself.

Covington

North Vermilion

Sullivan

Attica

And because I'll never get to pick this again, ROX over Turkey Run in the final Bridge Game.  Can't believe it's come to this.  It'll probably be the last high school football game I attend in person.  I know the Rox are on the road, and have injuries, but RP is looking good and I can't see Rockville going winless in what appears to be their final season, too.  Batty will have them ready.  I think emotion will carry them to the upset.

TR wins 13-7

Covington  wins 48 -14...Sorry Seeger you'll have to wait til next year.

FC  wins 48-21 Attica hasn't played any competition...RP,TR, Seeger, and Rockville. Enough said.

NV probably by 60 after last week's game.

Sullivan wins 40 - 28

Good luck teams!!!! Hope all prove me wrong.

Not trying to pile on but Southmont  and Covington aren't really comparable. We'll learn more about the Mounties the next few weeks as they're hitting the meat of their schedule

Yes I think they are inflated just a bit but all of the stats are inflated just a bit on all teams. We will see how this turns out I may be eating my words..

I'm certainly not saying Covington or southmont are on the same level or even really good teams. I feel like south is pretty decent and easily the best team either attica or FC have faced. Certainly both are better than anyone Attica has lined up against thus far in the season. Don't think they'll be leaving veedersburg having scored even half of their average 58 points a game.

Covington 35   Seeger 6-   Seeger with a bad loss last week.  Thought things might be improving there.  Apparently that is definitely not the case.

North Vermillion 49  RP 6-  Glad to see RP get the win last week.  Things will be a little tougher this week.

TR 27  Rox 20 in OT-  This game will be ugly.  Flip a coin in my opinion.....no idea.  Going with TR because I'm hoping.

Sullivan 56 SV 13-  Don't see this being close.  At all.

FC  35   Attica 19-  Not a believer in the Red Ramblers.

(Sag rating in parenthesis)

Covington (282)  at Seeger (309).

Covington wins 26-12. Based off Covington beating Rockville by 3 more td's

Riverton Parke (297) at North Vermillion (168)

N.V. wins 48-18. RP picks up a few td's late in the 4th.

Rockville (317) at Turkey Run (318).

Rockville wins 7-6. Battle to not get last in the conference!  Rockville wins a barburner

South Vermillion (232) at Sullivan (99)

Sullivan wins 55-32. S.V. is improving and look for them to dominate the conference in the next few years. It's Sullivan's homecoming so you never know just how much of a distraction that will be.

Attica (179) at Fountain Central (128).

Game of the week! Is Attica and their offense for real? They lost to FC and NV last year in some very close games. They played powerhouse LCC in a respectable game in Sectionals. Attica's opponents combine for a record of 2 wins and 14 losses! They've benefited from their weak schedule to start the season. Sagarin has FC winning 35-28. I am going with Attica in the semi upset. Attica wins 36-32.

I really can't see Attica scoring 36 on FC but could be wrong. Hope not. See if the FC offense can put it together this week for a full four quarters. I'm going to go with FC 42 Attica 20

I know this isn't my conference's thread, but I enjoy reading through all the conference threads leading up to Friday night.  I'm curious, why do most of you who pick TR to win add on that you're "hoping" or  "dreaming"?  Is this due to hatred towards Rockville or pity towards TR?  I don't know the area well so I'm just curious.  Thanks!
