1 Point Games

  • West Lafayette  -30.5   Lafayette Central Catholic - With the win over BC, LCC assures that it won't end up at the bottom of the HC West.  That's the bad news.  Now for the worse news ... there will be no last-minute interceptions, back endzone highlight reel catches, or missed kicks this season against WL.  Hard to believe, but with a win this season, the Red Devil's record against LCC improves to 2-5.
  • Pioneer  -30.5  Knox - Pioneer wins the game, but I think Knox beats the points.  With LCC's showing against Twin Lakes, Pioneer turns its sights to Carroll as the most credible threat in Sectional 42.
  • Rensselaer @ Benton Central - RCHS eyeing an end-of-season matchup with LCC as an opportunity to claim an outright 2nd place finish in the HC West.  BC gives it an opportunity to work on its pass defense for the air-happy Knights.

2 Point Games

  • Twin Lakes @ Hamilton Heights - Twin Lakes riding the euphoria of its first modern era HC win over LCC.  HH still off-balance.
  • Lewis Cass @ Lapel - Cass has won every home game this season and lost every road game.  Lapel has lost two at home.  Cass picks up its first road win by less than 6.
  • Western @ Northwestern - Northwestern extends its losing streak to four.

3 Point Game

  • Sheridan @ Tipton - Tipton firing on all cylinders now AND they are at home.
  • Harrison @ McCutcheon - Mavs finish second in the battle of the Lafayette big schools by dealing Harrison a loss on the road ... a short road albeit.

I'll push that like further.

Pioneer  -30.5  Knox
Still not scaring me with that spread.

Rensselaer @ Benton Central
Don't see this being much closer either.

2 Point Games

Twin Lakes @ Hamilton Heights
This road trip has me un-easy. It's a long haul, but they did break the LCC streak. Rumor had it that LCC had not lost to TL in 24 years, upon further review I did some Mythbusting. I would call this myth plausible. While the data does not indicate a TL victory prior to 1995, it also showed the two schools were on hiatus from 1995 - 2011. Which would make the last 24 years 7 LCC - 1 TL. An important win nonetheless, but not breaking 24 straight losses important. Roll Dang Tribe.

I'm out of the running, so I'm going to pick against Braveheart in a hope that I counter-jinx him. RFND? Is that still a thing?

BC gets WL and RC in back to back weeks. Who is in charge of their schedule?

It beats before the HC split into divisions ... BC used to get Tipton, West Lafayette, and LCC, in that order.

Very shocked by the amount of points LCC gave up to what was a struggling TL offense. They'll have their hands full to say the least Friday.

Lewis Cass @ Lapel

I hate comparing scores but that's what I'm doing here. Cass beat a Shenendoah team who crushed Lapel

Western @ Northwestern

After watching Tipton play these 2 teams back to back weeks I don't think this one is very close.

3 Point Game

Sheridan @ Tipton

Not believing the weather forecast right now. It's Sheridan week which means it will rain and have at least 30 mph winds. Tipton held Knepley to 98 yards on 23 carries and Cardwell to 42 yards on 19 carries. Callahan will present similar challenges but I love this defense.

This is a PhD in the Transitive Property of Football. Take lessons young posters.
