I wish Penn still played Ben Davis. That game was always a marker on what Penn needed to improve going forward. Most were close games.

I can't wait for the Ben Davis vs. Cathedral and Warren Central vs. Cathedral which are the first two weeks of the season! :)

And the mighty St. Edward Eagles come in at #12, the top team from Ohio. Moeller is next at 45, followed by St. X at #50.

Warren plays them in week 9 at St. X

I wonder why Warren would want to play them right before the playoffs? Then I remembered the whole 6A thing. So Warren will have a week off after St. X and before their first round playoff game, right?

Playing at "The Pit" should be quite an experience for the Warriors.

It sure won't be easy playing over there! ;)

Warren has already played at Elder,  they won handily, granted it was in 2003, so it has been awhile.

I think that 2003 team might be the most talented high school team I've ever seen.

That's why I said "most talented," as opposed to "best." The 2003 team sometimes played "down" to the level of the competition. But when they turned it up, they were really something.

Oh ok.

Hey look there goes Desmond Tardy down the field for another TD.

Great game

Ben Davis and Warren played a classic in the Regional that year.

I can still remember being on the field afterwards with Coach Dullaghan.  It was his final game.  He was shaking the Warren kids hands saying, "You go win it all.  You're the best team.  Be humble and play your hearts out.  No one will beat you."

BD played so hard...just came up a TD short.

I also remember the old PA announcer at Warren likely purposefully pronouncing Dullaghan "Dull-ig-an"
