Howe jumped out to a 24-7 lead in the first 6 minutes of the game. Heritage Christian kicked a 37 yard field goal to take the lead seconds before halftime. Howe took the opening kickoff of the 2nd half to the house but was called for a penalty. Howe drove inside the Heritage Christian 15 yard line on two occasions in the third quarter and stalled both times.

The difference in the game was Heritage Christian has a kicking game and Howe doesn't. Any high school team should be capable of kicking a 20 - 25 yard field goal.
