Will be there.  Heard Wabash may have changed the DePauw lot.  Anyone know for sure?

On paper, it looks like Wabash should win, but Tigers should be more competitive this year than they have been in recent years.

Gonna be a cold one.....

45-0 ;) Just got back from the Bell Ceremony to start the week.  Lets just say Wabash is pumped and ready, especially coming off a tough loss to Wittenberg.

Give 'Em Hell and Keep the Bell

the De***w lot? as in the tailgate? if so, yes that is true....it is relocated to the vacant lot that was once the Lew Wallace Inn and Bar. The location is just left of the marker on the attached link. https://www.google.com/maps/place/The+Lew+Wallace+Inn/@40.0404722,-86.9054167,17z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x8812d61fa8d3474f:0x5c8d588c6b120afd

Oh no, the Lew is closed?  Please tell me the Silver Dollar is still there....

I have not heard of the Silver Dollar during my two years.  but the Lew closed a few years ago when the state shut it down for safety reasons.  It was then torn down last year and apparently was purchased by Wabash.  There are a few people on campus that still chant "The Lew, The Lew, We're going to The Lew" though so it is not a too distant thing from the current Wabash population.

The Silver Dollar burned to the ground several years ago.

My first Bell game was 1969. I was being recruited to play at Wabash and went down for a weekend visit. They took us to the Bell game which was at Blackstock. The big story was that the Bell had been stolen during the week. Turns out, the Bell had been buried in the end zone of the football stadium. Only problem was that there was a cold snap and the ground froze. They had a heck of a time getting it out. Don't even remember who won the game.

That story is a Legend on campus...Everyone talks about that game.  Crazy that your first game was probably one of the most memorable Bell weeks ever.

Wonder if it will be the coldest Monon Bell game?

Not even closes to the coldest. It was cold, but only for the DePauw folks who were on the losing end of the game - Again. Wabash keeps the Bell with a dominating 27-3 win

Wabash wins the Bell Game 27-3 and it wasn't even that close. DePauw had 151 yards in total offense and 74 came on one play... Second longest winning streak in the 121 years of the series. The longest winning streak is seven (sent back 1921-1927) and Wabash will be gunning for that next year.

What has happened to DePauw football? Why can't the Tigers even seems to compete in the Bell game anymore?

Wabash's O line and D line were dominant in this game.  By far the best lines Depauw faced all year.  QB was running for his life most of the game.

Previous coach left nothing in the cupboard when he was canned.  Coach Lynch will get them back.  Going to take time.

I never did hear the actual reason for that. Did you?

I would have to say this year has been a change in tides for the Dannies. The rivalry also seems to be up from the previous years. I think they might have had a better chance if we had defeated Wittenberg. After that loss, it was either win and play again or another year out of the playoffs, so the little giants were not gonna leave anything on the field....till then though ding ding
