Final regular season game.  How time flies.

About the only thing up in the air is who will finish in third place.  With a Frankton victory it will be a 2 way tie with Alex.  Alex victory and they finish in third , Frankton 4th

Eastbrook at Blackford

Elwood at Madison Grant

Oak Hill at Frankton

Mississinewa at Alexandria

I say Jay County and Marion should join the CIC.

Eastbrook at Blackford--Blackford has improved but still no match for Eastbrook.  Adamson may leave starters in a little longer this week just to prepare for next week.  In the end Eastbrook scores 60 again this week in the victory.

Elwood at Madison Grant--This week Madison Grant scores 2 TDs but it's not enough to beat Elwood.  Elwood wins this one by a TD

Oak Hill at Frankton--Oak Hill is still struggling while Frankton got shut out last week for the first time this season.  Frankton gets this win and wins big.

Mississinewa at Alexandria--Mississinewa seems to always struggle at any game played at Alexandria.  Mississinewa has had 3 straight shut outs with Eastbrook being the only CIC school to score a TD against them.  Blackford only score a FG.  Alexandria hasn't been shut out yet this year and neither had Frankton until last week.  Mississinewa wins again in a shut out.

I can see Mississinewa, Eastbrook, Marion, and Jay County forming a new Conference in a few years.  Marion will get tired of traveling to Indy and Lafayette all the time for Conference games.  Mississinewa and Eastbrook will get tired of playing in a weak Conference and will seek a tougher Conference schedule.

I highly doubt the CIC changes anytime soon. Marion wouldn't join because no school in the CIC would want them to join. The fact is... CIC football fans and alum are going to have to deal with the fact that Ole Miss is a 4A football school.

Eastbrook at Blackford-- eastbrook wins by 56 unless they pull starters at half.

Elwood at Madison Grant-- Wilson does what he wants this week and wins by 28.

Oak Hill at Frankton-- Frankton wins an ugly game by 3 scores.

Mississinewa at Alexandria--Mississinewa wins but i see it closer than most. i think it will be 35-14. Alex's youth males a few big plays.

hopefully everyone stays healthy and moves by their first sectional game.

I doubt it too for several years.  Most of the CIC schools play Marion on a regular basis in other sports just like they do Jay County.  In reality the logistics will be the key factor for any change.

Eastbrook at Blackford:  This will not be close but I think the score will be down from what people are thinking.  The clock is going to run nonstop because no one will throw the ball.  Eastbrook 42-7.

Elwood at Madison Grant:  Madison Grant is counting down the days to the end.  Elwood 34-0.

Mississinewa at Alexandria:  Not close!  Ole Miss 60-0.  Does Alex still do the silly pregrame ritual where if you had a bowling ball you could knock down the whole team on the 50 yard line?  Pete saying "eyes forward, eyes forward" the whole time?

Oak Hill at Frankton:  This goes to Frankton because I am banking on Travis and the boys to pull it together.  If they do not play as a team, this could be an upset of the week.  Frankton 21-7.

EASTBROOK over blackford; Not close: Jeff pulls starters to prevent injury anticipating a long tournament run.

ELWOOD over mg; Then MG's evil plan works, they have fooled everyone and actually win the state 2A crown!! OK OK let me have my delusions.

MISSISSINEWA over alex; Funk has the boys ready for some tiger cup cakes.

FRANKTON over oak hill; either way the Eagles win.

As for the CIC I would like to see Lapel and Taylor  added to make a 10 school conference. Jay co, maybe, Eastern, maybe, But NOT MARION!!

Eastbrook

Elwood

Ole Miss

Frankton

I don't recall there ever being such a large GAP between the top 2 teams in the CIC and the rest of the conference.  Eastbrook was 3 TDs better than Ole Miss and both of them are roughly 60 PPG better than everyone else, craziness.

Bringing Marion into CIC is intriguing, it'd make the conference tougher as a whole, but man are they good in football right now!  Eastbrook and Ole Miss would probably get beat up by the Giants this year.  I couldn't imagine Marion playing the rest of the conference and how ugly those scores would be.  Lapel and any school would be good for the conference, I just don't know about adding more 4A schools (except Jay Co), is Ole Miss going to move back down to 3A anytime soon in football?

Don't see Marion coming in to CIC.  To much history and tradition being in the NCC.

It would be more reasonable to add 2A schools to the conference.  Add Lapel from the south and Eastern or Taylor from the north.

That would keep it 2A conference, other than Mississinewa, who are not going anywhere.

The conference could play all team like the Summit and get rid of non conference games or play 2 division and have a championship in week 9 like the Three  Rivers Conf.

Shenandoah is another option

At first I thought he didn't like Eastbrook. Gave everyone a down vote for commenting about Coach Adamson getting his 250th win.  But i guess it must be " Not enough love"

Wait a second................  I just read the Elwood Call Leader from Saturday, Ole Miss put in one of their OLs in at running back when they were up 62-0 so he could get the touchdown he'd always dreamed of?  Did Frankton deserve it?  Maybe, but still not a very classy look for the Indians.  Was this a make-a-wish kind of moment or something?  Maybe APA HC and coach Funk are buddies.

Call leader? Weren't they part of the fake news stories the Russians spearheaded? Oh wait... wrong forum.

Typical classy dig from the a lifer in Frankton, jk, but really... the Indians were housing vanilla plays with 1 possesion drives. They could have scored 100+ easy. They could have put in a cheer leader and scored.

Maybe the Eagles should have stopped the play. Get over it and get used to it. The call leader.... haha.

Yeah......you probably are not going to get much support on this one.  There is a little difference between handing a ball to a lineman when up by 62, compared to still throwing the ball when up by 70-80!!!!  Let's just say ouch and move forward to the Golden Eagles!

Since when have people from Frankton been able to read? Like BitterGymCoach said, big difference in giving the ball to someone who never gets a chance to carry the rock and having your starting O in chucking the ball around while up 70 late in the game against a very weak team.
