Zach Prairie out at KV

Recommended Posts

Zach Prairie has recently announced via his personal Twitter and Facebook feed that he is resigning immediately as head coach at Kankakee Valley to pursue an opportunity outside of education.

Thank you for your efforts coach. Good luck in your endeavors.

Let's get the ball rolling on this new coach. Should have some good candidates to fill the position.

Will there be a Principal willing to run interference from the micromanaging community?

Seems like they had a good "candidate" a few years ago in Bradley...

You speaking of Coach Brad Stewart?

Yessir, I work in Osceola, but it's still a haul 182 miles round trip to be exact!

I sell animal bedding to a lot of dairy/horse people down in that region.  Either way, good luck to KV, while we were down in Culver last week, my 10 year old son was listening to other area games and was grilling me about KV.

they do have an open PE job now too that Coach Prairie is giving up as he enters a different profession

That could add to a quality of candidates

This is true.Mr. Keeman (Kim) Lobsiger.  He was very supportive.  ALWAYS supported us as coaches.  Great man.

Possibly.  There is a LOT if internal interest to fill that position.

Though @Coach Nowlin, there is currently a Special Ed. opening.

Please see the kv.k12.in.us website and seach employment. They have been trying to fill this for awhile.

Yes. juxtaposed the names. Heard he wasn't good enough for the fine folks south of the Kankakee River.

I live south of the river 😄 and he was "good enough" for me and I worked on coach Stewart's staff for 4+ years. We worked well together. Really enjoyed our time together. I learned a lot from Stew. Good man.

Good luck to the Kougars moving forward - I had heard good things about Coach Prairie from some extended family in the KV school district, they seemed excited about him being HC, but seems that it wasn't meant to be. Good luck to Coach Prairie as well.
