Small world.  Our (Southridge) QB was on the same 7 on 7 team as Hunter at the Manning Passing Academy down in New Orleans in summer of 2016.  Funny story, they all decided since Hunter was the big time recruit of the group, he could be the first QB of their first game of the competition.  Hunter threw a pick 6 on his first throw.  Their team did go on to win the game and every other game they played at the camp.  Jayce said he was a great guy....

As far as the game goes, we've got great coaches with a lot of experience.  I love our coaches.  But ultimately, it's the play on the field that matters.  Should be a great game.  I'm sure both teams will be ready to go.

HAMMERED?  Someone give me what he is smoking please.  You may want to go back and check some facts on what Hammered means,  They lost to a 2A school first game of the season by 1 point, then beat that same team by 1 point in SS. I would hardly call that HAMMERED.

Interesting that all the people with knowledge on these teams haven't said a word about the biggest change Scecina made this year hiring the best QB coach and OC in the state. Vince Purichia has given this Scecina team an edge that they have never had in the previous years.  Ayers, the QB had a 250 yard half this season!  That is not a normal Scecina stat.  They dominated a Ritter team who hammered every 2A school in the state last year on their way to the state finals.  I am not sure how Scecina would not be the favorite to win this game?  Coach Purichia on an unbelievable string of all state QB's...4 at Ritter (Hendrickson, Purchia, Purichia (all-american at U of I), Byrnes) 1 at Brownsburg (Johnson), 1 at WC, and now 1 at Scecina.  This staff is loaded with experience including Coach Hurrle.  Heard this babble last year and Ritter hammered all these up an coming small schools.  Would not be surprised to see the same.

Ok, we must've been watching 2 different teams or different years or something bc Ritter did NOT hammer every 2A team in the state last year, they lost to Monrovia by 1, then only beat Monrovia by 1 in Semi state, Ritter also lost to 1A Lutheran, only beat Speedway by 2, beat TC by 11 which is far from a hammering,  beat Scecina by 3 . But they hammered EVERY 2A team? Ooooook?

Southridge and Scecina tied at 0 with 6:46 to go in the first quarter.

Lightning delay right now.

Scecina had the ball first at their own 20. moved down field to around the Southridge 24 and turned the ball over on downs.

Southridge had a first down or two but lost the ball by fumbling around the SR 45.

No idea. Video shows an empty field and stands right now.

The weather map looks like about one hour until the heavy rain ends.  If all that rain has lighting with it then a guess of 5 et would be close.

Yes, earlier they had a comment at bottom of screen on time of the last lightening strike.  That was around 2:23pm but more since then apparently

The delay started about 1 hour and 5 minutes ago. No idea when they had the last lightning sighting. Maybe still ongoing lightning.

Now there is no broadcast from the field. Don't know if they just stopped for the delay or if they are having problems.

Southridge 17

Scecina 7

18 seconds left in the 2nd quarter.

I think Southridge has only thrown the ball two times. Both have been touchdowns.
