Dragons return 9 starters on offense, including QB, RB, and their entire offensive line.  They also return 7 starters on defense.  And their kicker and punter.

Not to mention a big name move in . . .

well we now know the magnitude of this post.

3A- MEMORIAL, Danville or Guerin

Guerin? Not sure about that...

The Golden Eagles were undersized and young on both sides of the line last year and had a rough season in 2017. The situation might be improved this year, but probably not entirely solved.  The defensive secondary was also rough last year, and that could be significantly better this year.

There are some pretty interesting Junior and Senior role players this year for Guerin. I don't think Guerin will be able to pound the ball on offense the way they did in 2016, but they may have a decent passing game.

With the more difficult schedule this year, I'm hoping for 6 regular season wins out of Guerin and a good showing in the post-season. I think it's pretty early to imagine Guerin beating Brebeuf in Sectional 26, much less whoever emerges from sectional 25 (West Lafayette?)

WL and Memorial should be the favorites to win 3A but why is everyone forgetting about Chatard.  32 seniors and the current seniors beat Cathedral as freshman.  The last 3 seasons the freshman team went 24-3.  Very Good senior class, Very good Junior class and Sophmore class.  D1 QB and will start 18 seniors between O and D.  Play an unreal regular season schedule with Brebeuf,LC, Roncallli, Cathedral and 2 teams that played for state championships in Ky and Ohio.  Outstanding RB and return 94% of their offense production from last season.  Including 4 returning lineman.  2nd year for Coach Doyle should be a huge improvement.

Agree 💯 south 3A with Chatard, Danville, and Memorial is brutal.
