13th annual PSC Holiday Classic

Recommended Posts

This season the Classic will be played in two days instead of 3  but each team will still play 3 games. Personally I feel attendance will take a major hit  playing round 1 games in the morning instead of evening  especially on a Friday when many people  have to work, I personally know a few people that would go but can't because of work so if the goal is smaller profits then this new format might get the job done I say sarcastically

I remember going to morning games at the old Spencer County Tourney that were played in the morning in pretty much empty gyms. I'm a diehard and will be at all 3 games but if I was North Harrison fan there is no way I would drive all the way to South Spencer for a early morning game.

Round 1 games at Tell City Friday December, 29th 2017

10:00 AM CST Crawford County 2-5 VS. Perry Central 1-5

11:45 AM CST Corydon Central 0-6 at Tell City 4-2

Round 1 games at South Spencer Friday December, 29th 2017

10:00 AM CST North Harrison 4-2 VS. Heritage Hills 6-1

11:45 AM CST Boonville 2-2 at South Spencer 3-3

Round 2 games are Friday at 5:30 and 7:45  at Tell City and South Spencer

The Final round games will be on Saturday December 30th  at Tell City with first game starting at 2:00 CST and championship game estimated start time of 7:30 PM CST,

Very impressed with Crawford’s defense & how they have improved overall since I saw them earlier in Dec.

critical point in this game came late in the 3rd and/or early in the 4th. Patriots led 28-27. Crawford had at least 5 or 6 possessions with a chance to take the lead. They spread the floor& ran dribble-drive, but the taller Patriots were up to the defensive challenge & got stop after stop to preserve the lead.

Also need to acknowledge a performance in the 3rd-place game. South Spencer’s Dylan Kelly was electric as he poured in 33. He was flat unstoppable in the 1st half as he scored 22 of his team’s 27.

Sounds weird to say, but both teams were actually playing really good defense, despite Kelly going off. In the end, Tell City got a few more stops & gritted out a 5-point win

I'm guessing  the 31 point game he had at Heritage Hills last season was his old career high before tonight ??

Yeah, I’d say that’s probably right. But I don’t actually know it for a fact.
