McDonalds Holiday Hoops Tourney (Vincennes)

Recommended Posts

I’m a little late in posting this...but the holiday tournament in Vincennes kicked off yesterday. Not much to report on Day 1 as all but one first round game was a blowout. (Lincoln edged out a good Central Christian team in the night cap)

Today’s match ups will be much more intriguing.

University is undefeated and is one of the top teams in 1A. They take on the traditional 3A power Guerin Catholic. Meanwhile Lincoln will get a shot at 2A #8 Howe after a good win last night.

(McDonald's Hoosier Hysteria Tournament)
Dec. 29 1 University 71, Eastern Greene 35 Vincennes First round
Dec. 29 2 Guerin Catholic 103, North Knox 38 Vincennes First round
Dec. 29 3 Indianapolis Howe 84, Evansville Day 52 Vincennes First round
Dec. 29 4 Vincennes Lincoln 53, Central Christian 48 Vincennes First round

Big win for VL against Indy Howe 64-61 in overtime. They move to the championship game against undefeated University who beat a good Guerin Catholic squad. Tip off at 8:30

This was a really impressive 3 game stretch for the Alices. Thought some guys really clicked into their roles, which is something you hope for when it comes to these types of tournaments. Still don't believe we have seen the best basketball these guys can play. And have done it up to this point without Kotter. Hopefully they can keep the momentum going.
