Let’s also remember that “In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them....maybe you can hire The A-Team."

I was reading a great book on the principles of gravity the other day.  I couldn't put it down...

I was reading a great book on the principles of gravity the other day.  I kept putting it down ... pretty heavy concepts man.

Last research report I saw showed that scientists were still up in the air regarding their effectiveness.

Unfortunately, there was a lot of hype surrounding them, but most are starting to come back down to Earth as they understand what the research concepts are grounded in.

The DH in the NL is inevitable, I believe. I am not a fan of it, but it is not a deal breaker.

Next topic....Mayo or Miracle Whip/Salad Dressing????

I choose MW. I remember seeing mom put it on her burgers as a kid and thinking it was odd, until she said try it. I have used it on my burgers ever since. Thanks mom.

I like them both, so I rotate.

It is also killing small ball, in my mind. Guy comes up and sees the shift and will swing for the fences rather than trying to put a ball in play.

Rizzo looks demoralized.  A pure .300 hitter is now a regular .250 guy because of the darn shift.   I hate the shift.  Its not natural.  There is nothing more pure in baseball than a natural left handed hitter.  The shift is taking that away.

It's more than the shift ... and it may well have an eventual impact on the popularity of the sport.

A couple of good articles on how power ball is changing the batting, and pitching, strategy of the game.

My parents are both from south of the Mason-Dixon line.  I will always be a Duke's mayonnaise lover.
